Sims2U; What will you do? Now that my files crisis has been taken care of, for the most part, I have started thinking about S2U. I have read that there will be three college campuses. I'm wondering if we can make or modify them. I would like to make my own, I think, and copy some buildings from a real college that I know of. (Okay, I want to recreate Marshall University in WV, since WV is supposed to be where my town is set) What do you all think? Also, anyone else holding their teenagers back from transitioning to an adult so they can go to college? I have one couple in particular that I am keeping teens until next week so they can go to college together.
I don't think University is a legal legacy challenge move, since going to Sim-University involves your sim moving OUT. I'm also idly curious as to how multiple sim-teens going to the university will work: Do you play them all at once? One at a time? Does time pass for the ones that you're not playing? It's a great mystery. I'm also curious about what hair-pulling annoyances I'm going to end up having to hack THIS time. Fortunately, being bald means I don't have any hair to pull.
I'm waiting for University, I think I have 2 or 3 teens that I am holding back. I have been wondering the samething as JMP, I haven't heard anything about controlling more than one sim. Kristalrose, I too wish that we can create our own University Campuses, wouldn't mind trying to recreate the one I am attending.
I am sure that I read somewhere that we will be able to create our own campuses. I imagine that S2U will add 3 neighborhoods to the main menu that will be the 3 campuses (or should that be campii? ). Naturally we will be able to add new 'hoods only when we create them we'll have to choose whether they will be a regular residential 'hood or a university campus.
I will have the first "wave" of teenagers from my 27 families ready to go to school when the EP is ready. I want them *all* to go to school. I hope we'll be able to use the no-townie regen hack for TS2U too. I want my Uni populated by my Sims, although it would be more realistic to have the others. Chances are they'd be the "screwups" who end up in trouble on campus. In one of the infor releases (either one of the Tim mailings or a chat) they said we'd be able to make our own campuses if we wanted. (Same as with TS2 itself and the neighborhoods.) I've already planned out names for my Universities: Katstown University, University of Hindscroft, Ramses State University, Thackery Institute of Technology, USRA (University State of Ramses Atoll) and Anubis University. I haven't figure out which one I'm going to use yet as I want to see what the game has in the way of props before I actually construct the "university." Only a few days left. (But I still have to get the rest of my first wave of teens to the right age to get the "apply for university" message (or however they write the popup for that.)
I like the rames name and Thackery Institute of Technology those would be good picks...for me anyway i like them
Well, some amount of patience is in order if you want to make sure all my hacky goodness still works. Which, of course, means you have to wait until I get the game. I am totally going with "Crazy Go Nuts University". Don't be in too much of a hurry. It's possible none of your hacks will work properly and you'll have to wait until they get updated.
And when will *you* be getting the EP installed, JMP? I'm looking forward to being able to use my various hacks. I think that I've only gotten yours. I have the notownie regen, pay at box (mailbox), the no cheering one, Objects-no-route-fail-anim, authorize personnel, communityskills and daily gardener. I plan on taking them out when I first get the EP. Since I plan on making my own campus, that will give me some leeway for them to get fixed. Otherwise I can just put up with the things that bug me. (I'm a very patient person generally. I can even wait until Christmas to open any of my presents without so much as picking up the boxes.)
