    Frozen in the hot tub

Has anyone else had that problem? I have two sims in the "romantic" hot tub, one second they are splashing each other then the next thing I know they are frozen and my sims are dying in front of me. I would have just exited without saving, but unfortunately for me I have been playing for a few hours now and did not save any of it prior to the freeze. I just don't want to lose everything that I have done. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

does the move_object on cheat work for you?

And by frozen, are you mean physically stuck and they can't get out? Even though you've canceled their interactions?

Yes, they are just frozen in the hot tub. The water moves, everything moves...the sims themselves blink, but other than that they seem to just be stuck! I cancelled all there actions and nothing happened. I didn't know about the move_object cheat. What is that?

it allows you to move items around normally you can't. Just becareful with it though.

What you could do is this.... select move_objects on, move your characters out, delete the hot tub, and then your characters should be unfrozen.

    Same "Hot Tub" Problem

Hi! I am experiencing the same problem. My two sims are stuck in the hot tub and cannot move. Everything else around them moves fine - my sims are even dying - but I cannot move them. I've tried the cheat moveObjects but it still will not move the hot tub. Also, I can restart the game and have the sims still be in that exact same spot. Can anyone help? Please and Thank you!

Don't forget to move_objects off when finished even if it didn't work.

This is something I found on the web. It may help. Sorry I could not find the Authors name

Try the shift click on the tub.

    (It is cAsE SeNsItIvE.)
Now enter your victim's lot, and to make sure that it worked properly, the game version should
be in the upper-right hand corner of the screen. For the fun part! Most of the time, you'll be
SHIFT+ left clicking things in this debugging mode. SHIFT click a few things in your house,
including your sims. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT select force error. This is fairly self-explanitory,
as it 'forcesan error'. Other than that, things should be OK. Look at refridgerators for example.
You can instantly restock them for free! For toilets and showers, you can set their clesnliness
level, as well as breaking them (if you are bored). The most interesting and dangerous object to
SHIFT click are the sims them selves. You will be shown a whole host of errors, such as kill,
spawn, and many other things I cannot remember at the moment. Killing them through the 'kill...'
option is not the nicest way, but it will show all of the possible ways a sim can die, and you
can even see the grim reaper! You can even SHIFT click him, and given options such as add to
household, etc. (The add to household feature will only work for 3 seconds before he
dissappears.) I believe that you can even make him pregnent with the currently selected sim.
I'd hate to see what the baby looks like. On your sim, you can also spawn things that only
the programmers would use that cycle different clothing, career questions, etc. One thing
that you can spawn is the tombstone of (L)ife and (D)eath. (Sounds like the programmers
were having fun...) With this, you can make sims pregnant, make children, play growing up
cinematics, (which actually make the selected sim grow up,) and many other things.
This will mark the end of this cheat, but if you want more info on it, go to places
    like modthesims2.com.
