Sims 2 University I need help with sims university I have installed it and it starts like it should but then the problems start when I choose go to University and there I choose one existing student just to try it out when it has loaded the student its all like its freeze the student is just standing i can build bye furniture and so on but the time isnt running even if i choose the highest speed its the same time its like the game is paused but it isnt i cant do anything.. I tryed to take my own teens and move in but the same thing happens the time isnt running and the person just stand there i can chose options like walk but nothing happens when i go to neighbourhood my own and choose one of my family it doesnt matter who I choose its loading and loading and loading and nothing happens What is wrong I cant play sims university I have no problems with sims2 someone pleeease help me :hurt:
I'm having the same exact problem as you are. When I go into University life, my Sims never move. I can buy furniture, click on things, and give my characters interactions, but they can't move. I try to speed up the time speed, but that doesn't work either. I tried pausing it and then playing, but they're still frozen. It's as if the game is on pause when it's really on one of the three speeds. If anyone can offer any help, we'd greatly appreciate it.
Hey, I was having a similar problem, but after some things I finnally managed to get rid of it, and it works perfectly now..... well, what I did was downloading the Sims2 Pack clean installer from Simprograms (well, it will actually redirect you to the sims workshop), after that I deleted every download that didn't have a description (like clothing, wall, object recolor, etc) and then it worked fine. I know that the program needs a microsoft thing that takes some time to download, but that is what I did to fix it..... I hope it can be useful for you guys, good luck --LeonHart--
Yes I was going to add that this will be due to a problem with a downloaded hack. If you don't want to bother with clean installer, just remove your My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads folder. Clean Installer here Microsoft .NET Framework here
Thanks Mirelly for posting the download sites, it's just that I recomend doing first a downloads backup, then erase it, if the problem stops, then it was a hack, but for the ppl as me who loves all his downloads, it's very hard to get rid of all of them!! so, "save the gold, throw the trash" I say, using the clean installer method.... Haha, thank you all for your help! LeonHart, I didn't know what the clean installer exactly was so I just went ahead with Mirelly's advice. But thank you both for the help; I can now play University! =)
