need help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! when the game installs i get a message saying (Problem occured when trying to transfer file tsdata\res\sim3d\simso8.package from media) need help please
I'm afraid I don't know the answer, but I've seen it somewhere (either on this site or on the official BBS site.) You might want to do a search on the two sites with transfer file as the keyword. Or I may have seen it on the technical help section on the official BBS: http://eagames.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/eagames.cfg/php/enduser/sims2_std_alp.php Or you could wait until one of the software techies come along. (I'm more into hardware.)
You might try to install the game from the hard drive. It takes a little time, but it's not too difficult. Here's how you do it: 1. Create a folder in the root of your C: drive, and name it "Disk Images". 2. Create four new folders in the "Disk Images" folder, and name them "Disk1", "Disk2", "Disk3" and "Disk4". 3. Open The Sims 2 CD1, mark all the files and folders and copy them to the "Disk1" folder. The same goes for the rest of the CDs; CD2 to the "Disk2" folder and so on..... 4. Open the "Disk1" folder and double-click "AutoRun.exe"
