Sims 2 Website Login Problem Has anyone else had problems registering on the Sims 2 "official" website? It tells me I'm not product registered, even though I entered my product number in the box provided. When I tried to re-enter it the site told me that number had already been entered! Argh. I bought my product fair and square and it aggravates me that I can't use all the features of the website. And of course there's no way to contact the webmaster because I can't use the bulletin board. Can anyone help? I thought it was just me but my friend said he had weird stuff happen too.
The whole internet has been on the wonk for several days. I have lost count of the times I have had website not found errors ... and the ea website had me logged out the other day and refused to let me back in ... :(
Hi, Unfortunately, your problem is kinda hard, it looks like someone else registered with your game serial number, the only way I know to solve this is calling maxis (I think there're instructions on the help document) that's the only way to do it.... I'm sorry
If you have been on the website other times, it is probably that the website is down. They've been doing some upgrades and maintenance, mostly in the wee hours of the Pacific Standard Time hours. It seems to make it hard for the UK people since those hours seem to coincide with the most likely time they'd be trying to get on the site. Unfortunately, it will often give the "not registered" page if the site is down. They're working on a way to have it just say that the website is temporarily offline, come back later, but it only works part of the time. So, just try getting on at a different time of day/night. That may help. I just realized something else that might affect you. Are you trying to use the old TS1 information on the TS2 site? The TS2 site is not set up to run the same way that the TS1 site was. You can't use the same login method. You have to use the one which was created specifically for TS2 (unlike the past where if you had a SimCity EA account, you could use the same thing for the TS1 stuff.) But if you did register through the Ereg through your game, you should be able to sign on when the site isn't down for repairs.
Thanks Actually, I'm the one who entered my serial number. But it still won't let me in. Thanks for the advice about where to find the phone number. I think I'll give them a call ... I just want to be able to download stuff! Thanks, everyone!
Letting you enter the serial #, then kick you out and not let you enter th e information again... To me that clearly sounds like a cookie problem make sure your cookies aren't blocked on that site what browser(and additional cookie blockers, if any) are you using? -le
