help needed hi I need help during playing the sims 2 suddnely i cannot build anything (like when there is a fire).... I went around my house to see if there is any fires or burglers or anything that is unusal but i did not find anything is there anyway how i can fix this problem or what caused this problem. build mode is only disabled by a "piracy no-cd crack" (or a utility that allows you to play a legally owned game without the CD). Maxis chose to make the game that way. If you want to build then you have to buy the game or uninstall your no disc gizmo. Changing discs and looking after them isn't really that much of a chore. Sheesh!
actually it is not a no cd patch and i have been playing the game for at least 3 months now with build mode working .... and the build mode buttons are now brown where as with a no cd patch u cannot just enter it is not brown ...... also it is not true that build mode is disabled only with no cd patch it is also gets disabled when u have a fire or when the social worker comes
OK. This is a first as far as I am concerned. Have you installed University? Describe how this began. Does it affect all houses or just one? Does it affect all neighborhoods or just one? Something must have changed. Have you downloaded anything? Have you checked your downloads folder? Have you tried emptying it? Again. Sheesh. We are not clairvoyant ya know. If you throw only peanuts we're not bound to pretend we don't think you're a monkey. Try taking the time to explain what went wrong ... properly :(
1sti think it is a bug, i havent installed university..... i think this happened before with another house but i think i just deleted the house, this only happened to the house that i am playing now all the other houses work fine I think it is that the game thinks there is a fire or social worker something like that when the build modes get disabled
