Cant play the sims 2 I cant play the sims 2! I just bought it, installed it, tried to run it didnt work Something to do with dirextx 9.0c, which i have, it says there are no dirextx 9.0c graphic adaptors, what the hell are they?!?!?!?! So I decided to download an upgrade for my graphics card, still doesnt work I have had this computer for about 3+ years my graphics card is a Intel 82810E Graphics Controller Anyway to get it to work?
Unfortunately, that card is one of the most difficult cards to get around and certainly doesn't work for the game. It's just too limited in ability. Sometimes you can put in a new graphics card (although you can't remove the Intel one.) The hassle comes if the system is not set up with a way to make the Intel graphics card no longer the primary. Perhaps you can post your entire specs to see if it's going to be reasonable to even try to upgrade your computer. If the processor is not good enough or if it is certain brand names of computers (because of the way they set up the internal structure), it's a lost cause to try.
