Building a dorm from scratch Hi, Ive been playing UNI for about a week now, and wanted to build my own dorm. As you well know, you can choose between a private lot or a public lot. But none of them seems to be the right one. I tried to build a dorm on a private lot and ended up with a house with 14 bedrooms at a cost of 110 k! Then I tried the same thing on a public lot, but then I didnt have beds and fixtures and such. Please help?
The trick is in the cheat code ... [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[C] then type changeLotZoning dorm After you save back to the neighborhood, the next time you load it it will be a dorm. (The other options for changeLotZoning are 'residential', 'community', 'greek', 'secret society' (! can't remember off hand the exact form for secret society so that last may be wrong ) Note also that the more rooms the more demands on your graphics card. This will slow things down and at worst can cause crashes due to overheating unless you have a very high spec system with excellent cooling.
Once again... Hi Mirelly. Youve helped me out a number of times now, and I appreciate your patience. So, what I do is this: Create a lot(private), make the building as a dorm, enter the cheat: CTRL+SHIFT+C WHILE Im at the lot, then save to neighbourhood, then go back to the lot and it should be a dorm?
