i need help with the sims 2!!!

whenever I try to play the sims 2 it says failed to find any directx 9.0c compatible graphics adapter in the system

Unfortunately, your computer won't be able to run the game. The minimum on the processor (with a non-integrated card) is 800mhz. Your device isn't even showing up, which indicates that it is probably an integrated card which isn't recognized. At the very least you'd need to replace your processor with one which is at least 2.0ghz, but since processors are often built into the computer's motherboard on prebuilt computers like the HP ones, it's not usually possible.

Another indication that you have an integrated video card is that your RAM is only reading as 510mb instead of it's real 512mb. That generally indicates that your video card is one of the integrated ones which share RAM, rather than having its own. (A video card is never N/A in terms of games, unfortunately. It's often critical for the most recent games. Your computer has to have one, but often they are not very good if they have N/A appearing in the Dxdiag.)

If you had a better processor, I'd have you check into seeing if you can add a video card. However, I suspect that you'd barely be able to run the game even if you did have a better video card. An 800mhz processor really doesn't give you much in the way of processing ability for a game of this sort. (You'd end up with lots of freezing and slowness.)

Edit: I looked up your computer. It's a notebook, evidently. That makes it so that you can't change out things in it (except for adding RAM/memory, which wouldn't help in your case anyway.)

Without actually having your serial number (which you shouldn't give yout) for your computer, it doesn't really give much information on models which are no longer being made. I was hoping to find out which integrated video card it had (and all the notebooks only have integrated cards.)

Sorry for the bad news. Your computer won't run TS2.

You can't do anything to change the graphics/video card that is in a notebook. They are built into the motherboard and there isn't room for one which isn't part of the motherboard. Sorry.

Thought the zv5200 series had a NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go 64MB. Processor is a XP-M 3200+ after all; tried installing the nvidia drivers at nvidia.com?
Worth a try =). Don't know much about the performance of pc laptops tho, may be slow ;-)
