Please Help crash problem Hi i've just got the sims 2 university it installed fine and everything but everytime i try and go onto a family or go to a building or just anytime that blue screen comes up with the lil squares it crashes. I know how to get out of the crashes but how do i get rid of the problem cos i can't play the game properly. please help.
Did you remove your downloads folder and saved games (by completely removing the The Sims 2 folder from My documents) and do a fresh install of TS2 before you installed TS2U? (Sometimes there has been corruption of the TS2's most important piece which can cause this.) Did you have any problems playing the game with the downloads folder removed? (Since some pre-TS2 downloads can wreak havoc with the game. This is especially true of some of the game hacks which can be accidently in your game if you downloaded things such as lots or houses.) What are your system specs (especially CPU, RAM and the information under the display tab when you do a dxdiag)?
