Downtown With Nightlife coming I've been playing around with community lot designs. I like multi-purpose lots and lots with space for "letting" to new businesses. So that some buildings can get little bistros on upper floors. Basements can become night-clubs and so on I know that the rendering of buildings in the neighborhood view is pretty basic (JMP describes it as seriously buggy but I just think of it as basic ) ... anyway. Although it is mostly pointless I like my hoods' to have a realistic look and so I have started on a downtown area of latest 'hood. So far it has a Victorian quarter, a 60's mall, a 70's ribbon development and a 90's leisure center. There is also a park. The snapshot attached shows the neighborhood view. The lots can be downloaded from My Sim Page. Though I must note that in spite my attempts to clean them out, they nevertheless uploaded with some custom content and JM's phonehack. None of those are a problem but buyer beware, OK?
That interesting huh? LMAO ... I added a bit more. A nice looking municipal building that has a nighclub in the basement. The groundfloor is done out like a library (also sells magazines and games), floors 2&3 are empty (for show? useable if wanted) ... nice gardens. A postmodern commercial court ... This is utterly empty. 2 very large basement units would make neat nightclubs, pool halls, bowling joints. The gound level court has 4 large units that would make nice cafes, bars or shops while the upper floor has extensive scope for alf fresco dining, high-class restaurants, cabaret-diners ... all we need is Nightlife ... Both are downloadable from My Sim Page ... :cheeky:
It looks really good Mirelly. I haven't downloaded it yet. Been doing real-life things like getting myself prepared for the job interview I had this morning. (Y'all wish me luck, though if I get it, I won't be allowed to visit message boards on work time. )
