    Thinking About Making A Movie

I was thinking about making a movie with the Sims Moviemaker. I have the basic Microsoft movie-editing software. I've fired it up all of once. LOL So, I'm a novice. My idea was to chronicle the life of a particular new baby sim that was just born. His parents are crazy, so he will have an interesting life. LOL

    Now, a couple of questions:

    1. How can I save the transitions movies? Or can I? (like when he grows up, when he gets married, when he goes to college, all that)

    2. Any good tutorials? Any good example movies you know about? I haven't went to the official site and really looked hard at them yet, but a few of the ones I saw were weird.

I thought what I could do is pause the game, click on each sim in the household, give them a few activities in each action que, then hit "play" and start filming the fun. I the MS movie maker software looks fairly easy to edit with and insert text so that I can have dialoge and move the story along. I think it will be interesting. :silly:

You can record the cutscenes the same way you record live game action. Just start the camera rolling (V) when the movie starts.

It will automatically save in a movies file in your EA Games folder,

Also check out www.sim-movies.com they have a wide variety of movies

You actually have to have the video recording running before the special event movie starts ... after it begins all other controls are disabled until the movie ends. So if you miss it you have to exit, reload and ... take 2 ... aaaaack-shun! ;)

    Another tipp for movie making:
Use the camera presets and learn all Keyboard functions, how to move around without using the mouse.

    Have fun ;)
