Expensive Houses How do you buy an expensive house WITHOUT CHEATING? Every Sim has 20,000 simoleans when they move, no matter what their job is or how much they make. So how do you buy one of the mansions? Do you have to make a family or set of roommates whose combined income is the cost of the house (that's 6+ adults for some of the houses)?
Funds don't follow I have several Sims with top-career jobs and loads of cash. But when I move them out of their house in order to buy a mansion, they have only 20,000 simoleans left. According to the official game info, that's it - whenever a Sim moves, he/she gets 20,000 to start "their new life." So how do you buy a house worth !30,000?
Hi Jiko, I suppose you mean that you're moving one or two sims out of a household. If that is the case then they will always start over as a new family with only $20k. There's only one easy way around this and that is to use the money cheats (Ctrl Shift C - Kaching or Motherlode) or else to use one of the game modifications such as Pescado's money order hack that lets your sims send some of their money to another household ... see his forums for more details ...
