    Accidentally Deleted Neighborhood....Help Please!

My stupid cousin was playing on my computer and ended up playing TS2U. He deleted Vernaville and I am sooo heated because I have everything in there. I know this is a longshot but is there any chance or any hope in the world that I might get it back?...

Oh, my bad! :( I'm afraid the answer is negative. Even a very expensive session with a file recovery expert would be most likely useless due to the complex nature of the various files the game uses. Haven't you got any back ups at all?

No, I never thought about backing the game up. So i guess I'm starting from square one. Well can I at least get Verona back? I mean what happens to all those characters?

To get it back reinstall the game but backup all your custom families and downloads first.

Actually any of the original neighborhoods can be recreated by starting the game after dragging your The Sims 2 folder out of My Documents/EA Games and dropping it someplace else. When the game starts it looks for that folder and will create a brand new if it is missing. The newly created folder can then be used as a source for virgin neighborhoods ... eg to replace corrupted or damaged ones. Obviously you have to swap back the original The Sims 2 folder with the newly made one and just use the individual neighborhood folders in the neighborhoods sub-folder of The Sims 2 folder. N001 is pleasantville; N002 is Strangetown; N003 is Veronaville.

or commit a crime to have you computer taken to an FBI recovery place and have them recover the game. LoL :D
