Accidentally Deleted Neighborhood....Help Please! My stupid cousin was playing on my computer and ended up playing TS2U. He deleted Vernaville and I am sooo heated because I have everything in there. I know this is a longshot but is there any chance or any hope in the world that I might get it back?...
Oh, my bad! I'm afraid the answer is negative. Even a very expensive session with a file recovery expert would be most likely useless due to the complex nature of the various files the game uses. Haven't you got any back ups at all?
No, I never thought about backing the game up. So i guess I'm starting from square one. Well can I at least get Verona back? I mean what happens to all those characters?
Actually any of the original neighborhoods can be recreated by starting the game after dragging your The Sims 2 folder out of My Documents/EA Games and dropping it someplace else. When the game starts it looks for that folder and will create a brand new if it is missing. The newly created folder can then be used as a source for virgin neighborhoods ... eg to replace corrupted or damaged ones. Obviously you have to swap back the original The Sims 2 folder with the newly made one and just use the individual neighborhood folders in the neighborhoods sub-folder of The Sims 2 folder. N001 is pleasantville; N002 is Strangetown; N003 is Veronaville.
or commit a crime to have you computer taken to an FBI recovery place and have them recover the game. LoL
