My game is in Japanese and I can't change it. My game is supposed to be in English, everything on and in the box is in English, there is nothing on it anywhere to imply it would be in another language (purchased direct from EA in Canada), yet all the dialogue is in asian. I can't find any way to change it so I'm wondering if this is an improperly packaged disc (though the writing on the disc is English as well....this was brand new, sealed, and I am the first and only owner). I doublechecked my xbox's language settings and it is most definitely set on English. Does anyone have a clue about this? Is there a way to change the languages, or am I going to have to send this back for a replacement? It's really annoying...the character's mouthes move as if they're speaking English...it's like an old Bruce Lee movie :(
Okay, embarassed now... Do NOT reply to my thread, lol. This is my first experience with a Sims game and I wasn't aware that they speak their own language. *hanging head in shame* At least I can quit messing around with the controls now and just play.
more oops lol...grrrr *still embarassed* I even wrote to EA about this "problem"...by that point I was quite irate and irritated and may have made an offhanded comment about the entire tech support department's parentage, or something to that effect, I can't recall clearly seeing as I wasn't totally in my normal frame of mind. Now I have to compose a response to the "whaa ??" response I got back from them. Hmm..."sorry, I must have sent you a letter intended for my mother"? Gah. :surprised:
ohhh yessss Ya I did---within 24 hours, too. The trick is to send it through the on-site question submission form on the "account issues" page, not on the technical issues page. I guess they jump right on the ones that might concern money. Apparently they didn't pay any attention to the fact that I don't have a paying account, heheh.
