    Blue Objects

After I installed The Sims 2 University most of the objects that I downloaded just went blue(bedcovers, paintings etc). How do you fix this? Sorry if its obvious and im stupid!

No this isn't an obvious problem and you aren't stupid. Here's the problem. the University pack changed the way some things work. Sadly this included recolors.

The problem you describe is exactly what is expected to happen. You have 2 main choices. First is delete the offending recolors from your catalog (you can do this within the game in "Buy Mode" ... on the right hand side of the display panel there is a little icon that will permanently delete the selected item from your game. Just go thru the catalog and dump all the broken stuff. (If you make a note of which items you are deleting you can then go searching to see if they have been upgraded for University so that you can download them again.

The seond option is more complicated ... You would need to download a software tool that can perform the upgrade for you (or allow you to learn to modify the recolors for yourself). Either way you can obtain what you need from http://sims.ambertation.de/ but be warned that it is not a tool for beginners. Little or no help is available.

Sorry this cannot be more helpful. But at least you now know that you're not stupid. ;)

Yep, this is a *very* frustrating problem. And even if you do change them with SimPE, some still won't work. (That's what happened to some of my favorites.)

Many of the download sites will label their downloads as to being "EP ready" or "Not EP ready." And unfortunately, if the EP ready ones were done too early in the life of SimPE (which is an alpha program at this point, not even as far as being into beta testing), some of those won't work either. (Flashing blue or black is not your friend.)

If you want to see what some of us have gone through with this, look up Kristalrose's threads on this from around the first week in March.
