What's Next on the Expansion Pack Agenda

Okay, so far we've had for Sims 2 Expansion Packs:

    Sims 2 University
    Sims 2 Nightlife

So what do you think is next on the expansion pack agenda? :)

I'm hoping for mid-life, a stage between adult and old, I don't like my sim parents looking the same age as their grown children, and nor can I be bothered changing their appearance because of it.so what shall we call it? Mid-Life Crisis? Hmmmmm, maybe they can include convertables aswell......:D

If my Sims started to live much longer, I'd start to feel like they were eternal. I still have most of my originals as it is!

I still want to see a sims in business theme. eg market gardening (I want l'il tractors)

Also they could have a go at running a bar, cafe, hotel/inn even! Maybe they could grow potatoes and open a roadside fries stand ... :p

    Hummm.

I'm not really into having pets, but I sooo miss many of the other features of the original "Unleashed." Mainly gardening, canning, and the New Orleans feel to the game. I would like to have all that back. I also want the bee hives, oven, and butter churn back from Makin' Magic. So maybe they could call it "Old Timers" or "Homebodies" or "Simple Life". LOL

Besides pets (since there's a whole thread devoted to that currently), I'm hoping that they will have more options for the kids. I'd like to see a baby/toddler/child EP. They need more play options and more food options (which would let us have more adult food options too. Even an adult likes an occasional peanut butter and jelly sandwich.) (This would be ideal IMHO to combine with a pet EP.)

I'd like them to do an elder EP, which would also have things like travel and gardening as extras which all the Sims could enjoy.

I think I'd like it also if they'd add a "middle age" to the game. The adults they have now look to me like they are all in their 20s, leaving a big jump to elders (which look like they're in their 70s or older.) They should look 40s to 50s IMHO. Perhaps add the gardening here instead of with the elders (where vacation still makes a lot of sense) since middle age tends to be a time when the kids have at least grown enough that they don't constantly need their parents. It would allow time for more hobbies like gardening, home crafts and businesses.

Whatever the themes, I would hope that they would add more things like antique styles of furniture (although you can get some really great new mesh stuff these days, but not everyone can download). Perhaps add a category in clothing where people could have "costumes" (rather than having them in the everyday wear or in formal.) They could add more clothing options like from other times. (I miss the Roman outfits and I wish that the meshes worked better for things like medieval and renaissance clothing. They usually just end up looking like bad renfaire stuff now. The silhouettes are wrong.)

And I wish that Maxis didn't keep their EP ideas so closely guarded. It was totally unfair that we were all kept in the dark so much with Nightlife. (They ought to at least tell the SimMasters so that we don't get caught out like when they put the Nightlife ad in the TS2U container and so many people saw it before we even knew what that it was true.)

Agree totally, Kat. We needn't have had the Uni incompatibility fiasco either if they had hard-wired the young-adult age-group into the original game.

How about something like sims designer? something that contains all the elements of furniture etc, but allows you to put it together however you want... a 3-D program specifically for sims and the result is the right scale for the game

Themed packs (that would include theme furniture, clothes, music, local, dances) like:#1.roaring twenties - period furniture and clothes, they could dance the charleston, and go to a speakeasy
#2. the forties could include swing music and dancing, zoot suits and cool hair
#3. the waltz with ballroom dresses and music ..... and of course a ballroom.
    etc.

maybe it could all be rolled into one themed party pak???

    My wants are simple :)

    1. Pets
    2. Accessories - Sims need more shoes, jewellery, perfume, handbags, etc. :)

Of course, there's loads of other stuff I want too, but this would do for starters :D

How about being able to give gifts that actually stay around that could be used, regifted or sold on simbey... unlike ts1 where they just disapeared

    The Sims 2 Roadtrip:

How about something where you can take your sims out on the road?

This might include stuff like drivable cars and garages, as well as moving your sims to a new neighbourhood. Also they can put in hotels (which you can also use in your community lots) as well as various road trip-like things ... possibly a camping ability? Maybe fishing and picnics as well?

    I can only hope :p

Im hoping for a certain EP that focuses on all new items, furniture, decorations, and stuff. Mainly furniture on certain themes like desert, future, present, past, forest, jungles lol (maybe not jungles), and like ranch houses, or maybe houses in the big cities. heh.

What I think we need is goats. Yes, goats. Your very own pet shrub trimmer. Because even a daily gardener cannot keep up with a huge landscape full of shrubs, but I guarantee you a herd of goats not only can, but needs, that shrubbery. Not to mention that we need goats before sims can sacrifice them to me.

I like it Pescado :D ... think of all that lovely milk!! Beautiful goats' milk cheeses for sims to cook with, healthy milk for rearing strong babies ... though maybe we can still yearn for natural nursing in a future EP ... it's about time society at large removed that activity from the puritans' over-long taboo inventory. I hope you won't mind if my sims make a nice tasty curry (to be eaten with rice and peas naturally) from their sacrifices ...?

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! I have this mental image of sims dressed in black robes and hoods, killing goats on a stone altar surrounded by fire, and then getting on their knees and praying to JMP for more wonderful "powers" (hacks) :p
