ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! I have this mental image of sims dressed in black robes and hoods, killing goats on a stone altar surrounded by fire, and then getting on their knees and praying to JMP for more wonderful "powers" LMFAO omgs that would be sooooooooooo funny and then they can go around zapping people in the butt from their fingers =)). I a new EP i really want my pets back i miss those little things but i DONT miss the neighbour hood ones walking into my yard and doing their stuff on my lawn lol, and my a pre school or kinder for the toddlers now THAT would be cool.
Actually I was hoping for an EP with some objects/interactions themed for movie making. For example, if we want to have a fight scene, we have to get sims angry with each other first. I don't like that. It takes valuable time that some people can't afford to spend. Therefore, I'd like things like "Act Angry" or "Act Enamored" or something. Heck, if they want to, just a "Talk to the Camera" which can be used during any action with an appliance, etc., like in a cooking show. Pretty much, I want there to be actions sims can perform without changing the relationship score of their acquaintances, or actions that can be performed any time, like talking to self. Sorry about this, I've had time to give this thought
Cool! More behaviors I'd like to see include multitasking with infant/toddler in arms (hey, what parent hasn't?). You know, cooking or talking on the phone/chatting in person, accepting deliveries, getting the mail, sitting down (!!!). That way Sim parents could really bond with their kids and still get things done. Sitting down (or for teens, lounging on the bed) while talking on phone/chatting would also be nice. And more playground equipment, like slides and sandboxes, and kiddie play areas so you could let your toddlers network. Ooh, and kites. And bicycles, skateboards and rollerblades. I guess I'm asking for a Sims Family expansion. It could include pets, playpens, babysitters ... you know, more like MY life. I don't know if nightlife will include this, but visiting other Sims' houses would also be majorly cool. Having their teens babysit would add a nice touch too. I'd also like it to include wildlife. You could put in a birdfeeder and get random birds, or maybe a squirrel's nest if you put in a tree ... bunnies, deer, maybe even a bear or two ... oooh! A skunk would be hilarious. And while we're at it I'd like more tree variety. I don't understand why we can plop all sorts of cool varieties into the neighborhood yet not on the lots we play. I'd at least like a nice shady climbing tree, and maybe an apple tree. What would be really cool is a tree that changed colors to indicate seasons ... weather would also be great. And rosebushes. Letting kids make food for themselves, like a PB&J, would also be appreciated! My kid can, why can't they? Anyway, that's my wish list. Anyone listening? Sims Family!
LOL ... looks like you'll be well satisfied if the next expansion pack contains everything to be found in Sear's catalog ... on second thoughts forgeddit ... I don't think you buy weather by mail order in real life I definitely agree that kids should at least be able to make a PB&J
You know, surprised_by_witches, everything you mentioned is very possible. It's not like we're asking for anything big, just more human-like actions.
Exactly. I don't think I'm asking for too much! Sears catalog, humph. More like Toys R Us ... Oooh, I thought of another one. Offering a visitor food, or a cup of coffee. Right now it's kind of hit or miss, but I think it would be nice for friendship points with that person. Oh, and a rope swing to go with the beforementioned shady tree. And a kid's body point activity, climb tree. Rollerblading/skateboarding/riding a bike could also give anyone body points ... why let the kids have all the fun, and it would be funny to see beginners fall on their rear ends. Can you tell my favorite Xmas song is Santa Baby? And just to please Pescado, how about a new death: fall out of tree/off of building ...
Witches, you and I think much alike. Here was my gripe with the baby-toddler interactions: No Rock!! What parent makes a bottle then stands in front of the fridge and feeds the baby? No!! He/she finds a comfy chair or recliner and "rockies!" I know that I felt like I spent almost an entire year sitting in a rocking chair with each one of my babies. The two little ones still like to cuddle. The big one, well, he won't hug me or kiss me, but he grins when I hug him or kiss his cheek. This could go for mothers who nurse, also. I know that may mess with the teen rating, but geeze, why can't we have a newborn being nursed by their mothers? I personally, being the president of my local Breastfeeding Task Force, think it would be a good educational piece if that was an included option. But, then again, most computer programers are male, and I'm sure it would "ick" them out. LMAO Also on the "Rockie" front, a parent or caregiver could pick up a sleepy, cranky toddler, rock them to sleep, then tuck them into their crib. This could meet social and comfort needs for both of them, and generate friendship points.
Works for me. I breastfed my one and only and would do it again, though I can see why they left it out ... they probably have to follow fairly strict guidelines to be rated for teens. Rocking a kid, feeding them while sitting down, calming a cranky toddler, what radical concepts!
I like all those ideas. Wouldn't it be more realistic if we offered out guests drinks instead of them just getting a drink themselves? I like the fall out of tree or off a building idea, that would be awesome, in a bad way, but it's still good. About the breastfeeding: It's a great idea but they need to stay in "T" rating area and I can't see how they would do that with the whole breastfeeding thing. They could, of course, add a blur like the shower, just make it open for people's imaginations.
I just had a thought - what about if you could go into a sort of Sim-view, as if you were a Sim? Also I'd like to see weather and season changes. They could have Halloween parties!
I'm not putting your idea down but I think adding a Sim Cam would take away from the real Sims feeling. As for the seasons, that'd be great, I'd love to see season changes. Rain and snow would be awesome.
I'm all for holidays, though they get tricky since we're not all the same religion (nor should we be), nor does every country have the same holidays ... Hey, I have a great idea: throw costume party. You could choose costumes for the hosting Sim and their family and the others would come in random face paint and/or masks. That would help with the Halloween urge, no? How about a Simmish holiday, maybe like a masquerade with presents, or fuzzy hats with weird dances ... something. You could throw a holiday party whenever you felt like it. And one more thing on my wish list: karate moves. Hiiiiya!
Thinking about it now, the difference in religion is probably why Maxis never put holidays in the game (except Christmas in the first one) I like the Simmish holiday idea. Maxis could just make up a holiday the Sims celebrate. Nice idea!
Multiple-family dwellings, like an apartment house or block of row houses. They're sort of part way there with university. I really would like to see a block where is a choice of resident families to play. You play a given family and the others (probably) mark time - just as if they were in a separate house.
I made an experimental apartment building. No one lives in it yet, so I'm not sure if it will work. What I did was build a fourplex with a regular front door and then I used dorm doors for each unit ... I'm going to have some college grads move in once I get them through university. As for smart "mother's" milk, LOL! Maybe she'd have to drink a potion or something ... I like the blanket idea, but I think using a bottle is just fine. That way, anyone can feed the baby, which is good because my sim moms are often just too pooped, much like real life ...
