Pork Chops? I was playing my game for the first time in ages the other day when I noticed that the option to make pork chops had gone. Where did it go? I do have Merola's Painting, but that wasn't even on the lot at the time, would it still have an effect? Has this happened to anyone else? I did do the search thing, but found no reference to this little problem. I want my Pork Chops back!!!
I've never had that happen but once in awhile, my only option for food is instant meal! I have to keep clicking on it and eventually the others will come up but its weird how they aren't there.
This may or may not be an answer to your question, but I found that the less stocked my Sims' fridges are, the fewer food options they have, especially the more elaborate meals. Try restocking your food by clicking on a fridge and selecting "Check food count" ( sorry, not at my computer at the moment, can't check detailed info ). If your fridge has only a very low number of items/amount left, order groceries. That has always helped me so far.
Don't worry about it, I found out what the problem was, I must have downloaded a hack that came with a lot that I have installed, why anyone would want a 'no pork chop' hack is beyond me.... But if anyone else discovers the same problem, this is how you fix it.... Look in your Downloads folder - it should be located in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads (assuming you installed in the default directory) Search for a file named 64e83dc806dc218894a16b853bfff406.package That's the no pork chop hack. Move it to another non-Sims directory and if your game works fine without it, you can always delete it later. (Sometimes when you delete a hack it messes up your game, that's why you should move it before deleting it.) Cheers all.
Maybe Pork made them sick? Maybe eating Pork was against their Sims' religious beliefs? Maybe they just couldn't eat pork chops without the stove-top stuffing instead of potatoes? LMAO!!!! I think that is one pretty funny hack!!
