smokin' pancakes So after my Sim cheated death after burning up while making pancakes (see in general discussion) the stove with its smoking pancakes is still there and no one in the house can 'get pancakes.' The option comes up but won't get into the action queue. Gross. I finally had to move it to the backyard and buy a new stove since you can't delete the stove with something on it. Ideas??
even with the moveobjects on cheat? try deleting the pancakes first then they are no longer on the stove....???
Can you go to the Buy Mode, then click on the pancakes and like move them to the floor? Then get rid of the pancakes and delete the stove?
I've had this happen to me three times on diffrent lots!!! I think it's a bug with UNI, since it never happened to me before that. Once a sim smashed his little sister's dollhouse, and I could not delete it, even with the move_objects on cheat enabled. Even after the family moved out, it is still there!! It happened again with some dirty dishes on a Uni lot. The girl was cleaning up after a party, then I canceled the action because her cell phone was ringing and I wanted her to answer the phone because I can't stand to hear them ring! LOL So then she could never pick the dishes up again, it would fall out of her action quey. I tried moving them around the lot, tried deleting them (for some reason, even with the move_objects cheat enabled, you can't delete dirty dishes), and kept trying to get her to clean them up. Again, I moved her out, moved another student back in, and still the dishes were there. The last one was homework. The child had left the homework in the flowerbed. I picked it up and put it in the floor next to his desk. He couldn't do the homework! I can't even pick it up and move it, even with the cheat. So I figured that it would eventually disapear, as homework does when they grow up. Well, he's now in college, and his homework is still laying in the floor, untouched. BTW: I laughed out loud when I read the title to this thread. Ever see "Austin Powers: Goldmember"? Remember the part when Goldmember offers Austin "Smoke and a Pancake?" I watch too many movies, I guess.
