    SAT Scores

I took my SATs back on May 7th, and they released an approximate score. I recieved a total of 1510 points on the SAT. Does anyone know what the perfect score was? and if 1510 is good? average? above average?

It use to be out of 1600, but that was before they added the writing portion to the SAT:)

We have SATs in the UK lol. We have them at the end of Year 2 / Key Stage 1 (age 6-7), Year 6 / Key Stage 2 (age 10-11) and Year 9 / Key Stage 3 (age 13-14). I've just done my last SATs. Dead easy. I doubt they are anything like the US ones though.

Starting Key Stage 4 now, and at the end of Key Stage 4 are... GCSE's :(

Good luck, Chris. UK students get a bum deal these days. Test after test after test and what happens when you pass? The old scrotes who write to the Times complain that the tests aren't as hard as "when I were a lad" .... enough to make ya vomit!

Also if you Omit a question you loose less pts then getting it wrong.. wish I knew that instead of answering all of them..
    :(

Wow! I'd love to know exactly how that works in practice. There's a fine line between a student making a fatal error in a math problem that otherwise was gonna work out well and one who starts off on the wrong track entirely thus showing a fatal lack of understanding. Omitting a question entirely might demonstrate any of a number of competency flaws ranging from ignorance, thru stupidity and inability to to time-manage, to cowardice.

If I were you, Wizey, I'd start hounding my congressman. That system sucks!

LoL I should.. but Im all happy since im in the 75th Percentile in Math, 50 Percentile in Critical Reading, and Writing.. lets just say.. I noticed I went off track 20 min into the 25 min section and erased everything and started over.. :p.. but Im still glad of what I did.. because it was my first time.. and I am only in 10th when most people take it in 11th and 12th.. :D

Wow, those sound pretty harsh. Over here sats are so much easier but just like Mirelly said they will constantly make them harder and harder till either we all become emotionless zombies under the governments control or go insane!.....*looks at everyone staring at him* heh...um...Moving on :D
