    Game Freezing Problem

I have a problem with my game freezing at some certain points. When I try to load families in some homes, the light blue load boxes all fill at the top, disappear, and then it never loads to the actual game. I can hear the game running (birds chirping, etc.) but it never actually plays. I have read that this may be a problem with custom content I've downloaded and I should remove it, but I've installed so much that it would be nearly impossible to fund which piece of content is causing this problem. However, it may not be content. I pray that it isn't.

If anyone has any ideas on why this is happening it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes it's because of content (and the only way to know is to remove the content and slowly add it back, or slowly remove it until the problem goes away.)

Edit: if you get the Clean Installer from MTS2 ( sims2pack clean installer ) you can go through looking for problems in your content which can speed things up a bit. If there are duplicates causing the problem (which can happen), or if there are broken bits of content, the clean installer can help.

But sometimes it's a problem with an overtaxed computer system. This is especially common with large houses on large lots. If you can get into houses which are on smaller lots, or have smaller houses without as much content to begin with, then it's a computer problem. (Ie, the computer needs to have more advanced specs than what it currently has.)

It's not uncommon for people with computers which are midrange or below to have to limit the size of the lots/houses they play.
