I want props! In the intro movie they show a sim cuddling a bag of flour and another one talking to a paper cup ... I've also seen a guy dancing with a mop with a face on it ... I've been playing for a while now and I have never encountered any sort of prop like that ... is it spontaneous, like Steal Back Gnome? Not one of my Sims has ever done that ... is that because I keep them so gosh-darned happy all the time? Of course, it didn't happen in my haunted house, either, and I'm pretty mean to them ... of course they're so far down the ladder of happiness maybe they're too depressed to talk to paper cups ... So, I want to know. How can I get my Sims to play with props? Am I right in assuming they need to be sort of but not totally depressed? Or is there another secret I'm just not getting? Thanks.
These actions are caused by going too long without having a want fulfilled, or by having a fear fulfilled. This is just a few points above where Dr. Bombay shows up with his little hypnosis wheel. This also happens after your sims show signs of "worry" or "crying." A knowledge sim will talk to "Wilson", a family sim will cuddle the flour sack, and a popularity sim will make the paper-cup people.

Guess I was just a little too mean to old Bob, of course he was a money sim, so that might have something to do with him not getting any of those props ... he was a blithering idiot within seconds due to a tipped over garbage can I didn't bother to set right ... heh heh ... he had three visits from the good doctor and one from the social bunny. He picked a fight with SB who then disappeared. Did I mention that when Para drowned she nearly drowned the social bunny too? I put the little ladder in just in time ... for the bunny, not for her. Also for her stoopid sister who had jumped in too. Hey, whatcha doing? Drowning? Looks like fun. Duh. Then death came and stood on top of the water with everyone in it (Para's slowly sinking hand could be seen) and shook his head like, what a bunch of morons. I got pictures, but I can't find them!!! Wah. When everyone died I guess the game decided I didn't need the evidence? Anyone know where they might be? I'd be happy to share if I could only find them ...

Browse through the "snapshot" files, not the thumbnail files.
