Two Questions I have 2 questions first where can I get a cell phone and the second is I have the sims2 and university. I took my sim shopping for clothes and when I try to change her clothes I dont have an everyday category in some of my houses, I went into the store again and the dresser icons are there but I cant change her clothes. And I cant place doors and windows. Can anyone help?

You can get the cell phone in the regular neighborhoods by going into a lot (In build mode, without sims) and buying a Sellaphone Gadget Kiosk (In Misc Category), Then go there with sims to buy it. You can also place doors and windows by doing that. Can't help you with the rest of the stuff. Sorry.
You need can buy cell phones from the little blue vending machines on University Community Lots. Also, like Slim said, you can place them on community lots in your neighborhood. Dresser problems: Dressers can be buggy. It helps to download the patch from the official site: www.thesims2.com . This fixes many of the problems. If it doesn't, let us know and give more specific information. It sounds like you own the clothes and they are showing up when you go into "buy clothes" (that's the little dresser icon you see on your clothes, showing that they are in your dresser) but for some reason they are not showing up when you try to "plan outfit". Any information on any hacks, mods, or recolored dressers you have downloaded may be helpful.
Do you mean that you don't get the buy/build options? If it's in a dorm, that's normal to have some of the building options not available without the cheat code. Dorms are meant to be structurally unchangeable. You can change wallpaper and decorate (as you would in a regular dorm) but not change the shape of the room, or the things like doors and windows. If it's the rest, the make sure that you are not trying to use the game without having the CD in the drive. That's a software piracy prevention which is built into the game. Anyone giving you work arounds for that on this site can get banned (same as on the official site.)
