Buying cell phone How do I go about getting a cell phone for my sim? They always want one but I dont have a clue where to get them!?
First, you need to have a community lot. On that community lot you need to put something called a sell-o-phone. It looks kind of like the sim public phone booth. I'm not sure exactly where it is. Just click around the menus of things to buy on a community lot and you'll see it eventually. It's big and blue. Once you have it installed on the lot the sim can go and buy a cell phone, an MP3 player, and/or a hand-held game that looks like a serving tray. Hope this helps.
Cellphones let your Sims talk to other Sims without being around a telephone. For instance, I send my Sims to Community lots when they need to make a lot of phone calls, so that they can get all their calling done without interference (since it's pretty rare for them to be interrupted by an incoming call on the community lot, unlike the home lot.) And you can have 2-3 Sims making calls at the same time (which you can't do if you only have a "land line" telephone.) I had the parents each on their cellphone talking to their friends at the same time their son was talking on the landline to his friends. If only kids could get cellphones, it would be even easier, but they have to be teens before the game lets them have a cellphone. MP3s let your Sims listen to music which they consider fun. Unfortunately, they want to do it so much that they will cancel out the rest of their queue just to do it. The interactive game is similar but not quite so annoying. It lets your Sim have fun without needing objects like pool tables, tvs or the like around.
Two questions. I mean three! Does tha that cell-o-phone have to be downloaded or is it initially there? Also, which catagory is it in buy mode? Lastly, do you just click on your sim to use it like yoga or meditate?
Crap, I don't have the University expansion pack. I've been saving up for nightlife. Will they still have a want as get a cellphone if you don't have the expansion pack?
