I got those hopping mad nanny blues Just when you thought you'd seen everything .... http://www.sa-fi.co.uk/mp3/nanny.avi (750KB) (Josh why can't we upload movies?) This isn't speeded up. The daft bat was stuck at the edge of the lot and was doing this from Friday afternoon to Sunday when I finally took notice and filmed her. I finally moveobjected her out of the car onto the kerb and deleted the car where she immediately first had an accident of the involuntary nether regions variety followed by a sudden and inexplicable loss of consciousness actually within her own puddle of effluvium ... Ewww! After I woke her by getting a householder to turn on a temporary stereo ... she teleported back to where the car had been ... stood in the road sitting on thin air. Then suddenly she had a stinky baby on her lap and moments later she teleported into the nursery and put it to bed (the twins in the house had been behaving normally throughout anyway so I wasn't bothered by this. I found an opportunity to dismiss her and .... she got into her employers' bed and then kept sitting up having nightmares (wish I'd filmed that as well ) so I bought momma a skilling Dyson and turned on the stereo to wake the nanny-monster up and just kept sucking until momma was maxed out on all skills ... that should help her career The nanny? Oh I had to delete her I finally gave up expecting her to leave of her own accord. The household? Its the one I mentioned a while back that was expecting twins. Somehow the knowledge (of impending twins) spoiled the fun of that scenario so I am letting it play itself out with minimal interference by me to see if a new storyline emerges that I can emote with and regain some desire to involve myself. I only need that family to produce a female child and one of the twins is a girl so I wont be having to raise any more kids under that roof. The parents are that dadratted combo of a family sim and a romance sim ... this means they never want the same things at the same time. I have never once had them both wanting to woohoo (with each other) at the same time. Funnily enough its always the romance sims who weakens first and decides that woohooing with his wife would be pretty good. The wife just wants to best friends with all kinds of crazy people when she's minding the kids and wants to socialise with her husband when he's at work and wants to play with kids when they're asleep. After a while I just thought, "oh blimey o'riley, have your free will back and let's see how what a mess you manage to make and see if I care" Funnily enough they're getting on pretty OK (apart from getting the service personnel all tangled up in a heap )
Movie files can potentially overwhelm the database, and I want to avoid the attachments section of the database from getting too big. Some stuff I'm not too worried about, but Movie files potentially can.
Sometimes letting your family run wild on free will can be a bit of a joy ride. I just sit back and watch the Dagraski's run around, making kitchen fires and popping out babies. One time Xuaxeg collapsed on the curb after an exhausting night of ER attending, and I didn't notice he had until it was an hour until his next shift!
I'm too tired or bored to play sims tonight, not sure which. Dreading the obligatory rellie get-together national holidays always require--why IS that?!!--and generally feeling punky. So I was delighted to read your installments about your own wacky sims families and find I am not alone in needing a little drama to keep things interesting ... 123, love your crazy disfuctional family. Please keep us apprised of what Xuaxeng and clan are up to ... always good for a laugh! I think I need to have an alien pregnancy or somepin. My sims are too depressingly normal, something I ain't, really, so what gives ... Mirelly, I too hate nannies with a burning passion. Never use 'em if I can help it. Oh I hate nannies, oh yes I do-ooo, Oh I hate nannies, how 'bout you? They're so cranky, they're so dumb I'd like to kick them in the bum! Oh I hate nannies, oh yes I do-oo ... Let's lock them in the nanny zoo! Hee hee ... I'm soooooo tired, in case you couldn't tell. We had a nanny zoo once for a nanny that wouldn't leave the property. Once I let her out (had to, got too crowded with dirty plates, drove the maid nuts) she shaped up! She must have had time to ruminate on the error of her ways ... Good word. Ruminate. Rooo-min-ate. Ooookay. Time for bed.
What am I missing? I've never had an evil nanny. I usually get the same old crone, sometimes she goes swimming or plays video games, but she also cleans up dishes and always diapers and feeds the babies. I find they're not much use after toddlers (as I always have big families with someone around anyway). But I feel like I'm doing something wrong! Don't I deserve a psychotic nanny too??
You don't want one, trust me. Here's what my nannies have done: Freeze in front of the crib and block anyone else from getting to the baby. Refuse to leave and then another nanny showed up the next day, and then she refused to leave and another nanny showed up and between the three of them they conspired to kill the baby. One would take her out of the crib and put her in the highchair, another would immediately take her out and put her in the crib and so on and meanwhile the mom could not interfere and baby's needs were moving into the red ... not pretty! Now I'm so paranoid I hate using them at all. I hired one as a babysitter once and couldn't get her to leave when simmom got home ... The very first nanny I had was perfect. She even became a family friend. Every nanny since has been nothing but trouble.
Slap happy, that's me ... I had too much Diet Coke yesterday and that always screws me up ... too tired to stay up, too hyped to lie down.
Wow, that's one side of surprised I'm not sure I ever want to see again. But, of course, I probably will. I have to agree about the nanny--but also, when you have free will on, it can drive you nuts at times! Whenever either Allen D. or Xuaxeg have all their needs filled up, I leave them to take care of the other sims in the family (going to work can be a trainwreck) and they immediately rush over to Katie and bring her over to the fridge. However, once taking the bottle out, they don't feed it to her. They just leave it on the ground to rot and curdle. I hate these sims, and yet it's just so much fun to play with them.
Fortunately, I don't think my 3rd generation is going to need nannies since I have grandfathers and/or grandmothers in residence in most of my households. Speaking of zaniness... Lulu, the red eyed witch lady + Starboy the alien guy = red eyed green skinned baby girl named Andromeda. Ah the Adventures in Nirvanaville never seem to cease.
Now that's an idea. Keeping the old folks around. So far I only have two Sims that have transitioned into elders, and I've been playing this bunch since March. Cool!! My alien baby, Orion Jerry, just had a baby with nice, normal, blonde, trailer-trash Bambi. The baby, an infant, so far looks as normal as her mother. I named her "Sally Anne Jerry" after Sally Ride, 1st female American Astronaut. I kept trying to think of good alien names the entire 2 days Bambi was pregnant. If the baby had been a boy, I think his name was going to be either John Glenn Jerry, Neil Armstrong Jerry, or maybe a star wars or star trek name, I couldn't decide. For girls, I was leaning toward Cassiopiea, Andromeda, Uhura, or Ripley. It was midnight and I was drinking a few Diet Cokes of my own, SBW.
Ah the evils of diet coke. Argh. My dog went after a cat this weekend and sprained my left middle finger for me. Teach me not to pay attention ... boy did that hurt. Anyway typing is a little difficult & painful so can't be too chatty till it heals. Good thing for her she's so cute.
No one could abuse a dog! They're puppy eyes just draw you in! Dogs are definately my fave animal (my favourite non-existing animal is a moogle, kupo). I've never had a nanny before because I've only played as an elder, adult and teen. Teens definately have the worst life (with the acne, homework, jobs, mood swings...) but toddlers are the ugliest, so I never play as children and toddlers. Are nannies that evil? I hate maids. Can't you just end their services and call up again to get a different one? That's what I did for my maid, because I wanted my sim to meet Kaylyn, and also with Lauren Reeves, the pizza delivery girl.
I've had one ugly baby born to an alien and his wife. Even though the child did not have alien skin, she has her daddy's features: messed up ears, high cheek bones, and no chin. :(
Yep, that's what my Alien baby looks like, too. I think I'm going to force her mother to get a job in the Entertainment industry and get a home plastic surgery machine just so the poor little thing can have a nose!
I do believe that's what I'm going to make Leia do later in her life...so she can actually have a chin. At least she was blessed with her mom's nose.
