Yeah I'm with you SBW. Quinn seems a bit questionable. He looks too rough to be so romantic. I hope he doesn't break Dalilia's heart (he better not get with Esther). So did Dalilia have the baby yet?
Yes, she did. I'm at work so I can't update and upload pictures at the moment. The forum was not working for me this morning when I was home. I'll post as soon as I get home tonight.
LOL, Lynet, just like in real life. Spike and Lola continue to have major hots for each other. I just don't let them do anything about it.
Don't I know it. *sigh* Anyway, the postman trudges back and forth between Le Tour and Baltimore ............ Dearest Dalila, mother of sweet Lily, The days and nights away from you rob me of wit and word, and so I borrow from Shelly who speaks for me -- See the mountains kiss high Heaven And the waves clasp one another; No sister-flower would be forgiven If it disdained its brother; And the sunlight clasps the earth And the moonbeams kiss the sea: What is all this sweet work worth If thou kiss not me? I am driven in my studies, the sooner to be with you. With all my love, Quinn
Dear Quinn, Your letters, your phone calls leave me breathless. If I weren't so busy here caring for this gentle child I'd come and stay with you. But we are comfortable here, though I am so lonely for you. I am enclosing a picture of Lily. She has your eyes. Can you see her eyebrows. They are as red as your hair. Send me a picture of you, my Darling, for my dresser. With all my love, Dalila By post, the next day -- For you, my love, a picture of a wretched, lonely man. See, he does not smile.
Dear Emmy, I'm in love. I'm in love with Quinn. And he loves me, too. I don't know what to do. It's as if we were one soul. We finish each other's sentences. We like all the same music, the same art, the same literature. Poor Dalila. I think Quinn wants to break it off with Dalila. But there's a baby. I ask him about the baby and he looks grim and unhappy and leaves the house for hours. Please, Emmy, can we meet and talk about this? Esther Telephone call from Emmy to Esther -- Esther, I'm on leave from work because of my pregnancy. I just got your letter and you're right. I want to talk to you, too. Come over this Saturday. OK, Emmy. How are you? You don't sound well. And do NOT bring Quinn with you. Emmy, please. We need help. We need to think carefully. If two people are meant for each other... Have you seen his letters to Dalila? She reads them to everybody. He's reciting poetry to her while courting you back at Le Tour and in my dictionary that spells scoundrel. STOP, I won't listen to this. I'm not coming Saturday, not if this is your idea of a solution. I'm not talking anymore. Goodbye. Esther? Esther?
The baby's eyes are inherited from her father. I created him with the intent of having a good husband for Dalila and his eyes are downloaded from Helaene (I'm pretty sure it's her site.) The rest of him is Maxis. It took me by surprise when he and Esther almost immediately had three sparks for each other. Best laid plans and all that . I thought the sparks were from the turn-ons but that would only add up to 2. What's the other -- astrology sign? I know absolutely nothing about astrology. Added comment -- he had no problem wooing Dalila, however, nor any hesitation in climbing into bed with her. Yup, he turned out to be a scroundel, all right. *wrings hands* Where did I go wrong with him.
See, when they seem too good to be true, they usually are. **sigh** Hope things work out for those poor girls.
Attraction is based on turn-ons, zodiac sign (personality), and aspiration. Certain aspirations are attracted to some aspirations and repelled by others. The closer the personality of 2 sims, the more attracted they'll be.
Play: Custom content is usually a dominant gene. Lynet: "Death By Flies" is too good for that looser! hehehehe Sorry, just got caught up in the story.
I think attraction is based on a few other things as well, can't prove it, just seems like it. Otherwise, how would you explain a sim who supposedly doesn't like a trait swooning over someone who has it? Clearly, several factors are at play. As for Quinn, well, he's a sim. They've been known to be fickle. But poor Dalila, and poor baby!
Well, I practically lost my lunch while reading all that mush (seriously, I'm only an immature 7th grader...) but it's good! Quinn sounds like such a ...yeah.
Poor Dalila. Her daughter, Lily, looks as if she's going to need some plastic surgery on her nose. It's all smashed in and is definitely not a Sparrow nose. Felicia's baby boy, Gavin, on the other hand, looks like a Sparrow, like his big brother Matthew and his dad and his granddad. Pictures attached, 3 of Lily, 1 of Gavin. (Emmeline has not had her baby yet.) Oh, and one more picture of three pregant ladies eating dinner with Griffin and son Matthew. Emmeline is in grey, Felicia in white, and Dalila is in green. I just thought they all looked cute together in their maternity clothes.
That nose isn't too bad, Lynet. Maybe when she grows up it will be a cute button nose? (I keep telling myself the same thing about my RL toddler. I've noticed his nose is spreading out in width, but not coming out of his face any. My mother and sisters have a so called "fat nose" very wide. I didn't inherit that gene, and so far neither have my kids. But, my baby, well. . . still too soon to tell, I guess.)
How do you get the Plastic Surgery machine I keep hearing about? Also, I thought Dalilia was the one in white? Wasn't there a part earlier where she cut her hair?
It's a career reward for the Acting career, which is a Uni career addition. Emmeline has pretty much kept the same hairdo for the entire story, except she tied it up in bun for her wedding and the newer shoulder length version is softer looking because I downloaded it from Helaene's site. So that's Emmeline, anyway. Dalilla, on the other hand, keeps changing her hairdo. You're right, she cut it real short early in the story when she became a teen (post#10 has a picture.) When she went to college she kept the same cut but changed it from highlighted to bright blond. You can see that in post #121 where she's sitting on the bench with Emmeline (while Ivy, Sophie, Alon and Randy stand behind them for the picture.) For Emmeline's wedding Dalila got a new 'do. She's sitting in the pew in a silver dress, eating cake in post #166. It's another download from Helaene. I liked it so she's still wearing her hair that way. She and Emmeline look alike except for hairdos and clothes. Felicia has changed her hair a couple of times, too. She's a Uni townie that Griffin met in college. For a while she wore a bun but I wanted something a little more sophisticated and cut it real short.
I can tell I'm losing interest in this story, just by looking at my later posts compared with the early ones. They're getting shorter and shorter. I just wanna go play with the vampires . But then again, the new babies plus Matthew are the 5th generation Sparrows and I'm wondering if I can get all the way to the 10th generation. (I'm out of the Challenge but I'm still wondering about a dynasty of Sparrows.)
