Big Hairy Night Life Question Something just occurred to me, and I was wondering if someone "in the know" knew the answer. When I install Nightlife, would it be a good idea to graduate all my sims from Uni first? Do I run the risk of my college students getting disconnected from their family trees if I leave them there during the install? Just thought this would be good to know ahead of time, thanks.
Hummm, I hadn't thought of that. Yes, that would be something nice to find out before we install. LOL
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised ... but being the eternal optimist I'll continue to assume that the Maxoids will at least have tested an install over a University-ized installation (including one with active students at a campus) I suspect that the old advice will remain good advice. Before installing expansion pack make sure that all playable sims are at home in bed asleep ... if necessary get night-workers to take a sickie or vacation day. Just have them all asleep before you save at 5am game time. If you don't you will find them at home, wide awake and possibly standing under a foundation saying something meaningful like "shooflee".
Why all of the sudden I'm picturing big, creepy, crawling, spiders inside the nighlife ep... *groans*
Because you most likely will find that big, creepy, crawing spider inside that EP. But as long as it is not too big, I think I will cope just fine. (Finding a sim under the fountain saying "shooflee" will be mildly entertaining and the least problematic thing we have to look forward to).
Does anyone know when Nightlife will be available in the UK? Or is it out already and I am just stoopid?
I only found a spider in a game once, I blame it on the store (JK) When i Installed Uni I didnt do anything, just installed, and nothing happened. Nothing happened (like sims saying Shooflee) when I turned the game on. It was the same as usual.
that's the way it's supposed to work, backing up your games is a precaution so you don't lose everything in case you end up have to reinstall everything.
Large spiders would be a good addition to the game. They can help prevent bug infections, and scare away unwelcome guests.
Exactly ... we really need large spiders. I mean we already have zombies, aliens, ghosts and now vampires. The only thing we DON'T have from the horror genre is large hairy spiders. Or scary clowns. So yes. We need large hairy spiders and scary clowns.
A hairy night? No, a spider! I suppose it'd be possible to shave a very large tarantula, but it'd probably bite you. It's hard enough giving my hamster a haircut (Yes, I do give him haircuts--he's a long-haired, and grows really long bits in random places. Recently, though, I haven't done it as much because it looks cool and funky.)
