Mine is the same, longer if the family has loads of stuff and relationships. So if you're worrying, don't!

Check the specs on the box. If your computer meets the minimum you can run the game. The better your computer, the better it will run, but I'm near the bottom of the heap and it runs fine on my machine. At least it did until my CPU died ...

The only thing I would upgrade from that list is the RAM.

What video card do you have? (Start, run, type dxdiag, click the display tab, tell us everything in the device box.)

The extreme graphics is your videocard. And unfortunately none of the Intel cards have T&L ability. So, that will slow things down since it uses your RAM and processor to make up for part of that. That's why you'll not have a your RAM read in the usual manner. It will, for instance, say 510mb instead of 512mb. It's also why you have to have at least 2.0ghz processor to have it run, rather than a minimum of 800mhz.

So, you'll have slower loading (and not be able to have all the graphics ability or other options).

The other thing that *really* slows loading is having downloads. The more downloads you have, the slower it loads. (When I put in the TS2 folder which is my "work" folder, it loads pretty quickly. When I put in the TS2 folder which is my regular one for me to just play, it sometimes feels like it takes forever. The work one has a limited number of downloads, whereas I have more than 2gb in my "play" one.)

Edit, and looking at your other specs, it's a wonder you can get it to do anything past the absolute minimums. Not only is your processor (which you won't be able to replace) less than the 2.0ghz required if you have an Intel card, but it's a Celeron, which works more poorly than a Pentium of the same mhz/ghz rating. And you only have 256mb of RAM, which is rock bottom also. That you can change at least. And if you are lucky, you can put in another graphics card (assuming that your computer is not a laptop/notebook.)
