To Our North/South Carolina Members Be safe as Hurricane Ophelia is coming closer! We hope to see you guys back soon (assuming you have to evacuate)
Kristalrose, honey, let us know when you can that you're safe. That goes for all of you in the Carolinas. Kristal is the only one I know is there for sure ... everyone, take care of yourselves.
Yeah, it's a little rainy here. We're good. We're near the coast, but we're on the VA border, too far North for much more than rain and a little wind. I didn't even go to the store and battle the crouds for water and bread!
Thanks Josh, but we're safe. They aren't expecting us to get any more than about 1 inch of rain. My flowers are actually happy. LOL They are jellous of my Sims and their "Daily Gardener" hack.
Is it really scary? I hope all you're friends up there are okay! Why do think they named it Ophelia? Straight away I think of Ophelia Specter, but also Hamlet's lover is called Ophelia (who incidently went crazy because she thought Hamlet was crazy). I'm really into Shakespeare, and Hamlet is one of my faves. Make sure you take care of yourself! Is there anyone else from Carolina here on WorldSims?
So what is it about Hamlet you love so much? Just curious. I find Macbeth much more compelling, which is why I'm asking.
We did Macbeth at the lowry. I was Macbeth. Where did you get the daily gardener hack from Kristal? Glad you're gonna be okay!
Heh. I was Antonio in Twelfth Night. Love that cross-casting! I'm glad you're safe and dry as well, Kristal.
Kuppo: Yes, a Hurricane is very scary. The last one that came to my town (Isabel) knocked power off for two days. The wind blew so violently that it was bending the big maple tree in my front yard almost completely in half! I kept sitting beside the front window like a big dummy, watching that tree, worrying that it was going to break and come through the window! (So, why was I sitting there? Because it was like watching a train wreck!) I'm really sad at the damage the news keeps showing at Atlantic Beach. I love that beach! But my favorite one, Nag's Head, so far looks to be okay. One day, I'm gonna win the lottery and move to the Outer Banks. I'll have a house with a big deck that overlooks the beach, and I'll sit out there on a laptop and play TS2 as much as I want! Isn't that a lovely dream? From JMP. Most of the good hacks are his.
Yep, Hubby went to VA and bought us $10 worth of tickets last night. Since I'm online and not packing the house, needless to say, we didn't win.
With the 2 days without power, did you check if your sims are okay? Keep at the lotto! Someone in my town won 15.8 MILLION dollars?! (NZ$) And another million for the Winning Wheel (pretty much like the wheel of fortune). They are so lucky!! It was their first time buying a ticket, too.
