Help! This might sound cruel, but how do I get rid of a kid I just adopted? >.> I was in a rush, I wanted to call for a maid but I accidentaly adopted a kid, so how do I get rid of her? shes not a baby, shes like the third stage of a child.
I think perhaps you could try neglecting her. Don't let her eat or go to school, etc. Then the social worker might come back and take her away again!
Thanks, ill do that. But just to make sure, is there any other way? because wont that affect my sim if I later on wanted to adopt someone?
You could have another sim move in with them, then have the new sim "find own place" in the newspaper or computer and take the child with them.
Lock the kid in a small room and set it on fire by having an adult cook, have the adult catch it on fire, leave quickly and take away the door, locking the kid in. Its all very tragic.
I opt for the less cruel way of having an adult move in and move out again, taking the kid with him/her. It's in a way having someone else "adopt" the child without getting in trouble with the social workers.
Once a kid is taken away, you can never adopt. You could pretend an orphan showed up one day and changed their lives forever ... who knows, the kid could end up being your favorite sim. Just a thought.
I don't think that toddlers and babies can die, only be taken away. This might be true for children, too, so trying to burn your toddler probably won't work. :devil: This idea is very evil, though. I have accidently called the adoption agency when I was trying (or rather, my sim was trying) to order pizza. So I understand what it's like (sort of.)
You can't kill a sim child. Thank Goodness!!! The social worker will take them away before they would die. And, yes, if the social worker takes the child away, then your sim will only be able to adopt if she marries and moves. I was able to do that, and got one of my sims children back. (Their county must not do a proper check on the home and the applicants before they approve them. LOL Sorry, too much reality) Now, as for your unwanted child: I will second (or third?) moving in another unwanted adult, then having the adult move out and take little Orphan Annie with him/her.
Actually, you can kill Sim children. The method I've used (mostly to get rid of townie children but also to get rid of an accidental adoption I had when I was trying for the gardener) is to drown them. Let them go swimming, then take away the ladders. It upsets the family (as any means now of getting rid of the adoptee will do that), but if they don't fit into the family, it's a way to remove them.
Okey so you can first go off and go to a computer and then press "find own place" okey so move the people(s) out of that house and leave the person you want gone. Okey then after you have moved them out then go to the neiborhood view and then move the person you dont want outta that house and then delete her. Then you can move you other person, people back in the house and yeah its just alot easier than killin:dead: people :hyper: :spin: :whitekitty: :yes:
Which would work great if it was adult you were trying to get rid of, but you can't leave children alone in a house by themselves, the game won't let that happen. Plus, unless you have nightlife and have an inventory to keep all your stuff in, you just lost all your belongings/career/aspiration rewards.
