Funny Pregnant/Baby Moments Do funny things happen when your sims are pregnant? On my first pregnancy a fire broke out on day 3. Of course I had a very pregnant sim in her undies running and jumping in front of the fire on the stove. It was funny to see but I was scared she was going to die. I moved her away as quickly as possible (after I had a laugh). With the 2nd pregnancy, on day two a burglar broke in. Thankfully my sim didn't wake up to watch the fight but when the cop was checking the house and came into her room. She woke up and stood in front of the cop in her undies (they're more comfortable) while her stomach grew larger right before their eyes. It would have been even more funny if it happened on the night of the birth. Also, last night I saw my pregnant sims (same as above) stomach move like the baby was kicking or something. It was delivery day/time and she was asleep on a chair. I thought the game would wake her up to deliver but instead she sleep through and I saw her stomach jump a few times. When I woke her up she had the baby.
Yeah, it was time to have the baby (72hrs from the time she conceived) so the game was probably preparing for her contractions and such but because she was sleeping it was put "on hold" or something. I was watching her like a hawk because I didn't want to miss anything. Her husband was in the same room sitting on the floor writing in his diary. I woke her up an hour after that b/c I was afraid she would remain permantly pregnant and as soon as I woke her up she went into labor and had the baby. Isn't it funny how they moan and their facial expressions when they are in "labor"? Her husband had a funny reaction too. After he jumped up in the air watching her in labor, he started to moan too (like he was feeling her pain) then he put his head in his hands. At first I thought she was going to die or something because she looked really in pain and he looked worried. Then I thought maybe she is going to have twins and he is reacting to the anticipated load, but she delivered okay and they only had one child. Yeah I like it when the guys have that reaction it's like they are talking to themselves "OK I've got to calm down! I'm calm now! I'm gonna make it! I'm gonna make it!" LOL Ruth
I like it when they spring backwards in the air like they've just seen a ghost. Too funny ... One funny thing that happened is that I, big meanie that I am, made my knowledge sims have four kids right in a row. The "devolution" of the mom was interesting to see ... she started out all lovey-dovey toward the first two, kind of ignored the third (I'd never had a toddler cry before, but the dad cheered him up) ... and left the fourth lying on the kitchen floor one day among all the bottles and diapers. In real life, not so funny, but in the sims? I said, OK, OK, I get the message and stopped the baby machine. Of course, when their youngest was about to go to college they had a little surprise ... oopsie, baby #5. But mom had had time to recover and is just fine with the little addition.
I've had Sims have babies in random places. I've had them give birth in bathrooms, kitchens, outside... Most of the husbands in my game do the jump thing, I've yet to have one moan... In houses with several Sims in them, I've had some crazy moments...people falling asleep or having accidents, fires, promotions and bringing people from work with them, headmaster comes in and Momma Sim has her baby in the middle of dinner...
My sims always have babies in either the kitchen or bathroom, usually bathroom. Seriously, it's like their babies just want to be born next to the toilet.
That happened with my first birth. Since it was the first I didn't know what to expect. My sim had to go to the bathroom so she went and just when she was about to sit on the toilet she started to wave her arms and yelling. I didn't know what was going on. She had the baby right there in the bathroom. It was so funny! After she gave birth, she put the baby on the floor and shoo'd everyone out so she can go to the toilet. That was too funny. With the second one I decided she should have the baby in the dedicated baby room. So I put her in there and waited.
Bathrooms and kitchens are the two favorite places for my Sim Mommas to birth babies. I think it's because during that 3rd trimester they either have to pee or have to eat all the time. LOL LOL
Mine usually happen in the bedroom, because my sims usually have woohoo at night, so the kids are born in the wee hours, when mom is sleeping ... what a way to wake up!
My sims usually have their baby in the middle of their showers, and several times they've just hopped out and had the baby without changing back into clothes! It really ruins the sweetness of the little movie clip.
