Just Got A Computer with Dual core, will mine play The Sims 2

I know you guys have been hearing these "will my computer run the game" thread from sunup to sundown and mine is no different. Last week, I bought a computer from Best Buy. An HP Media Center M250n, I think. Here are the specs:

    Pentium D 2.8 Ghz
    1 GB of Ram
    128 Mb Radeon X300
    250 GB of space

If you need anymore info about it, let me know and I will let AIDA tell me the rest. So does my new computer have what it takes.

    Hiya Magus.

How I envy you! I want a Pentium D! But yes, it should run. Graphics are slightly on the weak side, but you should be good to go :)

Great, I was thinking about upgrading my video card to a 256 Radeon X300. I don't mind toning my game down until then. I am a light to medium gamer anyway.

Adding more memory to a GPU Chipset doesn't make a whole of difference. If you jump shipped to an X600 or X800, technically you'll see quite a bit of difference.

Hmmm, I see. I am quite happy with the performance I am getting now. I play Command & Conquer: Generals on high and it runs great. I will see how The Sims 2 runs with what I have, play with a few settings and I will let you know.
