First Snow Fall in Minnesota Did I see someone mention snow in one of the other threads? Hehe, well here it is, the first snowfall in Minnesota, as taken with my new digital camera from my apartment. Okay, and a picture of my three cats, which I apologize, but is somewhat blurry. I was experimenting with different settings on the camera. Tanner is in the hammock, Hailee is the calico, and Addie is the spunky tabby. Basically I'm playing with my new camera and wanted to show off some of the pictures...oh, and I'll include a cute picture of the sweet man who gave me the camera as well. Maybe once I get a decent picture of me taken I'll include that...so far since I've been sick all the pictures of me on my camera make me look...well...sick!
Really nice, even the blurry cats. Those are obviously very well fed and contented cats. My husband gave me a digital camera for Christmas two years ago and I love it. I have tons of pictures loaded on my computer and my husband says he's glad I don't print them all out because they'd be all over the house. It seems that every time the morning sun shines in a certain way on a tree or a flower in the back yard I run outside in my robe and take a picture of it . I bought a relatively inexpensive Ulead software program for making (burning?) DVD and CD slideshows. You can add music, too. It's a convenient way to show people your pictures.
Hailee is perhaps a little to well fed! They are very content cats, more toys than some kids I know, and tons of attention from their "mom and dad". They are definitly our babies!
I was the one who mentioned snow! I want snow! I wanna move to Minnesota! We got like half a centimeter of snow on Thanksgiving, but it didn't even cover the whole yard and melted by 10 AM.
It's snowing in Seattle etc. too!! I mean come on people, it's only Dec. 1. It's not supposed to do this here.
I was out in Seattle a couple of years ago for New Years, spent it with a horrible exboyfriend and his family, but Seattle itself was nice! It snowed when we were there as well. The mountains were justn gorgeous! On another note...just got my cats to cooperate again by sitting on their cat tree, caught Tanner sticking his tounge out at me and Addie looks like she's seeing a ghost...and calm Hailee looks...bored. Lol, figured I'd attach it since the other picture of them is terrible. (I'm not a proud parent of my kitties at all!)
All I can say about the snow is: I hope it becomes more frequent and stronger than in the past two winters, because I want to have dozens of days off from school because of snow!
Me too, me too! I've heard that it's snowing here in NJ on Sunday, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
All I can say about the snow is: I hope it becomes more frequent and stronger than in the past two winters, because I want to have dozens of days off from school because of snow! Why? So you can go to school dozens of days in the sweltering of summer, when you could be swimming and hiking and sailing and playing and hanging out???
I've been wishing for snow forever. We don't get much in South Jersey until January or so... so, I'll be waiting a while. I love the snow, so I'd rather have a "snow day" and be in school in the summer anyway. JMHO.
It's snowing again today, and it is absolutely gorgeous. We're getting those super big flakes that fall really slowly. Outside our apartment looks like a big old fluffly bed of feathers. I love the snow...just don't like the cold! Here are a couple of more pictures I just took about 5 minutes ago.
Omgsh! Snow! Like, 3 inches!! Though I do appreciate at least one good blizzard every year, just to be able to make snowmen and stuff, this snow is good enough for now. It looks so pretty!
Shana, I love the pawprint with the big snow flakes in it. Person, I'm still waiting to see yours. Not approved as of my post yet.
Person123, your pictures are beautiful, I bet those tire swings could be a lot of fun in the summer! Lynet, I love that picture too. I didn't realize how detailed those flakes were in the image until I uploaded them to my computer. I was very excited about that picture.
...Wow, you could see those swings? If I didn't know they were there, I wouldn't have been able to tell. And, if anyone's wondering, the big red house in the second picture isn't our house, it's our barn.
We finally got snow, too. I'm going to try to upload a picture. Here goes...OK! Great! Except it will probably need approval because I didn't put it in the gallery. It's just a tree, with snow on it. Promise!! P.S. Out lamppost got broken somehow. You can see it in the bottom left of the picture.
Ooh, lovely picture! I've always loved evergreen trees and how they look in the winter. Too bad we don't have any on our property.
