I'm not in my game at the moment BabyGirl, so I can't be specific because I haven't looked at the settings for quite awhile, but I think that if you have Nightlife installed you will find the settings that allow you to see the neighbors' houses under graphics which is one of the options under the three dots in a row--know what I mean? The game controls? Buy, Build, Camera, and so on? It may depend, of course, on how good your computer graphics card is.
because while you can visit anyplace downtown, at the university, and any other community lot, you cannot visit your neighbor. But they can visit you.
Your sim can't. While playing a household you can take him/her by taxi or car to visit downtown and other community lots (as you know), but not the nextdoor neighbors. However, if while playing one sim household you move the cursor over to a neighbor's house, and someone lives there, you (as in BabyGirl, not your sim) can go directly into that household to play with that family. It saves on the extra minute or two required to go back out to the neighborhood screen and into that household. Being able to see the neighbors adds to the atmosphere of community but not much else. It's just pretty. Maybe someday we'll be able to have our sims just walk down the street and ring someone's doorbell, but not yet.
ok i have another question. if your sim is in college, can they go visit a house in the regular neighborhod,if not is there a hack. i haven't tried it yet but i want to know before i waste time waiting for the game to load.
The only way to do that is play that house and have them invite your college person over. Your college sims can visit homes just like all the other sims in the neighborhoods and townies.
you could also try ''boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true'' , this way , when u click ur sim or mailbox while holding shift down , u get loads of extra cheats!! Click like that on a sim and u'll be able to kill it , make it fall in love with u , make it SELECTABLE , make u furious with it and so on. Click that way on ur mailbox and that allows u to ' make kids get A+ ' 'make all happy' ' pay bills ' etc...It's a great cheat. And oh yes , use Capital letters the way i typed em , 1 mistake and u blow the cheat. Have fun!!
also be very very careful when using this cheat, one mistake and you might just end up seeing a big fiery ball hurling toward your game from space... I suggest one of the downloads instead. That cheat can mess up your game if you don't know what you're doing or are inexperienced with some of the options.
I had an unwanted experience with boolprop a few weeks ago. When my teen sims brought in homework, I was impatient. So, I shift-clicked on the homework, selected domething, nothing happened. So I selected the other option: 'Cremaster somwthing'. Oops. A vertical spiral of homework appeared that reached up to the roof of the two-storey house. Then, my computer freezes, I had to turn it off manually. Remove disc. Turn back on. Game reloads automatically - to the exact point I was paused before. The pile of homework is just stood there. I try to resume the game - and it works! I put the disc back in, just to be safe . I had to hide it under a bench and armchair.
