As far as I was aware DDI version has never been an issue. The Directx version is critical. Should be 9.0c aqnd yours is ... but that ain't the problem ... :( Are you having trouble running the game? It seems to me (from a quick look) that your computer doesn't meet the min system requirements: EA says you must have: Intel Extreme Graphics (non-T&L; requires 2.0 GHz processor) 82845, 82865, 82915 Your dxdiag report shows: Processor: Intel Pentium III, ~930MHz (That's not even 1.0GHz so it's far too slow ) Card name: Intel(R) 82815 Graphics Controller (This controller is not in the list given by EA, above) From this it is clear that you need to upgrade your computer to have any chance of playing the game. Sorry but you need to investigate option for buying a new graphics card (you currently have integrated graphics which uses some of your main RAM as well as using some of the processor's time). The Sims 2 is a very heavy user of graphics hardware. A half decent display card will cost around $100 (US) but top-end cards cost more than a whole cheap computer! I don't where in the world you are so cannot help much more at this time.
