What Did You Get For Christmas? So, it's that time again in the year, and you reflect on the Christmas season. Gotta love the classic question too..what did you get for Christmas? Me? Really quiet year. AznAdidas bought me a few shirts. I got some new sheets (really expensive ones too..WOOT!), and a DVD . That's basically it
My husband bought me an iPod. I haven't had a chance to play with it very much yet because we spent the day at his brother's house then picked up my daughter at the airport. Right now I'm looking at all the pieces all over my desk. It's a little intimidating. My daughter gave me a sweater and my mother-in-law gave me a turtleneck shirt. I think they match.
I got an MP3 player as well, except mine is a Creative Zen Nano Plus. I always make sure to ask for the most expensive things that I want for Christmas and my birthday, and then I buy everything else myself. It's a very important lesson that all kids should learn. I also got the book Eldest from my sister, the Spongebob movie soundtrack from one of my friends, a pair of socks with turtles on them from another friend, and a whole bunch of candy from everyone else. It was a very productive year.
I also got an mp3 player! I got the New Sony NWA-3000, the 20gb version. Nice. I also got a digital camera - quite good for a first one - and a printer that just won't install on my computer!!! Actually, you couldn't help me with that could you? I think my best prezzie has got to be my NEW PLAYBOY BODYBAR! I had my tummy peirced in March, and I love it. I also love the mountain of choclate I recieved. Everybody in my family knows I am addicted. I'm not so sure that's a joke anymore... :(
I got a new printer and scanner for my computer...I really needed one. I also got hair wavers...I love them they make my hair look beautiful, I plan on waving my hair with them every day now! I also got some DVDs and little presents like make-up and bubble bath
We did Christmas stockings for everyone... Found lots of little stuff to fill them with... It was great fun watching everyone get to the bottom of them. but probably spent more than we would have otherwise even tho we watched for sales and clearance tables. little things add up and we did about 26 of them. the motion sensor chirping birds were a hit... so were the key chains and lcd flashlights.
I got silverwear! And a new knife set! I haven't had a chance to try them yet though, as I haven't really cooked since I had my surgery, but I'm very excited to try them out. (I love to cook!) Lets see, we also got a heated mattress pad, which is very nice in Minnesota! A few Christmas decorations, some chocolate and some candy as well as other things that aren't coming to mind to clearly right now.
Santa brought me a watch, which I needed. I got gift certificates to Williams Sonoma and a lot of money. Money is good. I'm getting my new video card! Yeah! And the new Buffy box set. I also got the world's ugliest wine glasses, with handpainted pointsettias on them. Why do people buy stuff like that?
I've been spoilt this year, I have an IOU for Sims 2 on PSP. The IOU is due to shipping delays in Australia. As well as that I received the PC game The Movies and some DVDs. I havent installed the Movies yet because of some strange sense of loyality to the Sims. Its funny but I wonder, does anyone else feel guilty for playing other PC games?
Let's see... --- A memory card for my Rio Cali Sport MP3 player --- Clothes! Namely a new suede red coat and such --- Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 for PS2 and two dance pads. Whee! --- My Canadian boyfriend and his family sent down a bracelet for me and food for the family: tea, chocolates and smoked salmon. --- money from one grandma and a new calender for next year from my other grandma Otherwise a very quiet and peaceful Christmas.
I got The Sims 2 for PS2, an Eye Toy for PS2, two CDs, two hooded sweatshirts, tons of mints, a wireless AIM thingy, a digital pocket planner, a new room, and a new computer! The computer is a monstrous computer, and it could handle The Sims 2 at least 10 times over with tons of room to spare! Windows XP game advisor says the performance is PURRRR. The screenshot of my performance is at this link: http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/1905/compperformance9pu.jpg
Well, John's an ultra-happy camper. This was a good Christmas... a puzzle, a few shirts, slippers, a "To The Lifeboats" sign to hang in my room (I'm a ship freak), and *just* enough money to allow me to afford a nice new Apple PowerBook. Don't have it yet, but will post Pics when I do. I'm waiting for their switch to Intel to buy. Merry Christmas! -John
I had a great Christmas. 1) I got the kids everything they wanted plus more. That made my Christmas. Everything else was gravy. 2) Hubby, trying to make amends for the crappy past few months, spoiled me. I got a new microwave, a new cherry vanity, some old fashioned cookbooks and historical home books, and some new jewlery. 3) My Mommy still does Santa Claus for her grown daughters. (My mother's like me, her Christmas is made by buying for her kids LOL) So I got some new clothes and jewlery, a huge electric griddle, and a basket full of candles, lotions, bath stuff, pitcture frames, candles etc. 4) My MIL bought me a nightgown two sizes too big and some amethyst earrings, which I like. I've learned a long time ago not to expect anything much from MIL, so I was very thrilled with the earrings. She didn't buy anything like that for Hubby or the rest of the family, even her own kids. Everyone else just got ill-fitting sleepwear. (When her children, one by one, said, "Mom, this is too big! she became insulted and said, "Doesn't everyone like to sleep in big, comfy pj's?")
i'm sad christmas is over. it's always so gorgeous with the lights. now things are starting to come down. atleast i have a birthday in little over a month. wahoo! i did get an iPod for christmas though which i LOVE to death.
I got an early birthday pressie yesterday - a new mobi. Luvin' it. It came with lots of great songs already on it! I love my songs. Changed my ringtone 5 times already, and the only person that ever calls is my Dad. My birthday is on 15th Feb, born 1991. 15 on the 15th! Mirelly, that gives you just over a month to buy my pressie. And that also gives you lucky guys out there just over a month to pick a Val's Day card for me!
oooh...I'm beating you! I'll be 25 on the 19th...next thursday! Send me a card and I'll send you one!
