how do you start your own band, i always have to join crappy bands with people that have No creativiy skills. save me!
In the sims universe bands are always ad hoc. This means, in practise, that a band lasts for as long it plays. If you have 3 sims under your control and 3 instruments in a public area then (if you're quick enough) you can send your 3 sims to "perfom" (actually you send one to perform and then the first sims invites the rest to join (cos you make it happen that way) or (you) have the others sent to join the first. The result is the same: a bunch of sims doings rock 'n roll, or C&W, or Jazz as good as their talents permit. NOTE If you have 3 sims with great playing skills and four musical instruments available then it's likely that an NPC with no talent at all will join in and make right old dog's breakfast of your sims' gig and in strict accordance with sim-logic the crappy performer will probably get the best tips ...
yeah, well guys, how do i make my own! Like, i meen, i created 4 people. one, which is me, and i will be a drummer. 2 a guy with full creativity poins, he will be on guitar, andother that has a mohawk, and will be on bass, or guitar. and one more, which is my friends character, who will be piano. How do i form them all togeher wothout anyone else joining? These character are all seperate families
If you have NL you can form a group that includes these 4 people. Make sure they're friends first so they'll all actually show up. If you don't have NL you will need to call each of them, individually, on your cell phone once you get to the lot and invite them ... Invite them to a community lot that has four instruments already set up. I made a bandstand in a park in my game. I've got four siblings who now live in different houses but who all rock, literally, in creativity points, and this is how I got them together to play. Click on each as they arrive and choose "invite to join" or whatever the wording is. There's no guarantee you'll get tips, but it's still fun to have them all play together. My vampire couple tries to make a living this way and it's hit or miss. Mirelly's right about the dog's breakfast, though I noticed that for some reason the vampires often have talented people sit down with them. I only put three instruments at their usual haunt to decrease my odds of some hamfisted hack wrecking the gig. So far they've been lucky. Joe Carr, for example, is really good ... though he looks like a dork playing in his scientist's white coat, like a pharmacist on his lunch break.
thanx a lot. I will probably make all of the isntruments upstairs in my house. And i probably will make that group you said about in NL. I mite get all of them, but for now i am not. Thanx a bunch!
