The Old Sims 2 Guys this is something that has been on my mind since TS2 came out. It looks nothing Like those old screen shots that first came out for it and made us want the game so badly. for example you see at the top of the page..The Simsational sign you see the why the word ''SIM'' font is? that was how it was at first.then maxis changed it to the way it is on the box nowadays.and they took a lot of good clothes and objects off the game cause whenever i look at the old sims 2 trailers most of the things they show are not on there. and last but not least CAN ANYONE tell me WHY did they change every hairstyle in the game. it use to look great and the had all kinds of styles up do's afros all kinds of stuff and there not in the game.for example you know that generation movie yeah check it out look at all the females hair and i bet those hairs are not in the game. but those things where really great. it seems like they changed the texure of the hair too. it use to look full and nice. but it looks like they redid them and took some off, to make them look more realistic. i hate that they still show those pics and knowing some of those things aren't on the game.please go the sims 2 website and look at the new french stamp and look at he girls hair...not in the gane i just was so dissapointed when the things that got me waiting all those months for this game and come to find out some of the things were not on there. someone please respond thank you all for your time.
Things like hair-styles are always going to be high on the list of anyone's personal bugbears. The game is marketed all over the world and to a wide and eclectic range of people from teenagers to grandparents. If you have a burning desire for a particular hair style then why not search around the many fan-websites for custom hair meshes. I have quite a few myself and while they look good in most cases there are many occasions when they just look silly because they clip into other sims or objects. I suspect that this was a problem for Maxis, too, and was one they could not resolve satisfactorily and so dumped the unworkable hair meshes. Besides 'big hair' is sooo 1980's
We have a thread in the community showcase called, "Our Favorite Download Sites." I'm betting dollars to donuts you could find a similar hairstyle on one of those.
