Possible Fix for Game Crash I had the same problem as everyone else, where it would crash after the intro movie after I installed University. The problem? Do NOT install the University pack into your Sims 2 directory. It will ruin both games, and when you try to uninstall either, it will uninstall both.
I can't verify your claim unfortunately as I have University Installed along with Sims 2 and it works perfectly
I hate to be painfully obvious, but if you are having trouble with an installation (like I am), your best bet in most situations (if you can help it) is to download the game into the recommended area. Now I know that it may be a blow to some egos to put the installation on anything other than "Advanced-for extreme experts only!," but if it isnt working, it isnt working, and you should always try to remember to go back to basics (a problem I seem to have trouble with).
