Your best parent sims? My best two sets are: Zolf and Greed, Zolf is a knowlage sim, while Greed is a fortune sim. Despite that (and the fact greed wants to clutter our house...) they are REALLY good parents... they help Heath with his homework, encourage him... and occasionally tuck him in without being asked. (geeze that's cute as heck) Plus they are very attentive to each other. Izumi and Sieg are both family sims, but are pretty good parents themselves, despite most family sims being starngely poro parents. They have two kids so far (Izumi is preggy with the second) and Sieg loves rubbing her belly. Oddly, they aren't very attentive to one another... is there any other asperation i could change one of them to to make that diffrent? Uh, and what ARE your best couples?
This is a tough one, Kimblee. I, for one, have not been doing too much with raising kids lately. A lot are now in limbo awaiting my return to the households. In the past, though, I think I had one good set -- George and Sybil, although it was mostly Sybil who took care of the kids. They have passed away now and I don't recall much else about them but I'll give them a positive vote.
I've got a few pairs of good parents. Zaire and Castor were very good with their kids, despite the leaving the baby on the kitchen floor incident. They trained all five children to walk, talk and potty before they became kids, helped them with their homework, tucked them in at night, sought them out for games of chess and red hands and were generally very attentive. (Both knowledge sims.) Nearly all of their wants still revolve around their family. They want to call their children, and they want their grandchildren to get scholarships, do well, get married, etc. Lola and Tyson did pretty well too. They were really into the baby thing and continued to have wants around their children even after they left the house. Spike and London were probably the best, though, even though Ashley did the diaper changing and daytime duties for Apollo. Both romance sims, both really into their kid, and even now that he's a dad himself they get wants to call him, see him, etc., and they really like their grandson. With this current generation I've got going I'd have to say that Ariel and Raj are the best parents. In fact, their marriage is so happy and harmonious and they're such model parents I don't write about them much ... smooth sailing doesn't make for an interesting read, at least not on a regular basis.
I also have some good ones. My Sim-Self and Sim-Hubby (Family and Knowledge, respectfully) are great parents. Sim-Hubby likes teaching and encouraging the kids, and sim-self likes talking to and playing games with them. I have another father, Jackson Hicks, who's also a family sim and loves nurturing his kids. Which is pretty funny considering the enviornment he was raised in. His mother Charlene and her husband Larry are slobs in the highest order! His mother loves havin' the young'ens, butshe doesn't like taking care of them or cleaning up after them. Larry likes talking and playing with them, but he too hates to clean them and do things like help them with their homework and teach them how to walk. When I clicked on "encourage" options, the only ones Charlene wants to encourage are "lazy", "sloppy", and "outgoing". Larry's options are similar. Needless to say, I didn't push them to encourage those things onto their children. :(
And what's wrong with being outgoing? Huh? Huh? Excuse me while I go blind my neighbors by jumping nude into a hot tub ... just kidding. It's January in Minnesota. Have to wait at least until March for neighbor-blinding season. But, I know what you mean. I want to encourage kids but they're so much like their parents that it's usually a moot point. Encourage a kid with maximum nice points to be nice. Hmmm. And encouraging Antonio to be nice is like trying to teach a pig to sing. Honestly. They did try. The kid's just mean. I would not count Xander and Orlando among my best parents. For one thing, one of their constant fears has been "adopt baby." They're both family sims! Helloo ... how else do you think you're going to get a family? Alien abduction just doesn't happen that much, or at all, if it's my game. But, they do have wants around the kids they've got and have done a fairly decent job. Antonio may have zero nice points, but he's usually pretty happy about it.
Ah! The sacred neighbor-blinding season... I did that when i was eleven on accedent, lil' brother took my clothes and I chased him out into the street... fresh from a shower. LOL Wish I had a nudie sim.... Greed is as outgoing as possible and he still wears his swinsuit... and has anyone else noticed all the male swimsuits are kinda.... loud?
I downloaded a nice black one with dark red flowers on it. I also made a pure black one based on the longer boxers found in undies. And I have a skimpy blue one that's not too bad. But, yeah. Hot pink swimtrunks on a vampire. That'll send you to therapy. Blue Hawaiian shirt guy is a nudist. Try inviting him over. Hey, OK, weird. Went to Sims2Sisters for my daily download fix and found some not so obnoxious swim trunks for you. I have some really nice grey ones with white trim, can't remember where I got them. Most of my Sims wear the tighter trunks that look like speedos. If they're fit then it's a little treat for me, and if they're fat, well, that's just funny. Blue Hawaiian Shirt guy is a nudist in my game, too. I married him into a home after he'd impregnanted my female sim twice in the photo booth!! They made beautiful kids, though. Pics later, maybe, if I remember.
My best family My best family is Mel and Ben, by far. The first time I went on the sims 2 I did a little demonstration for my younger siblings and made a couple, Benjamin and Melissa Penfranie. Later that night, I, foolishly blinded by my anxiety to see an "adorable" simbaby, got them pregnant. Mel had a pretty easy pregnancy over the next few days (spewed twice on first day) and I was feeling pretty good about myself. I even had a bet with my youngest sister that it was a girl. Then, disaster struck. Twins. I was ecstatic. My Mum and Dad naturally had no idea what I was talking about. I named the twin boys Darcy and Oscar (skipping their middle names). Within a few days I was on the brink of exhaustion. Sure, Mel and Ben were in platinum and Ben was a nurse, but I never wanted to see another diaper again! Not to mention my younger sister kept asking me for the money I owed her from the bet. I only knew the money code and the move objects code at the time, and I was pretty distraught. I am also a photo-holic, and have to take multiple photos of the twins every few seconds. I was pretty sure that twins as your first baby was pretty special, so I was happy. Then again, ole Grandma up at the Old Folks Home was looking pretty good too. I finally purservired through the twin's newborn stage, although I nearly had a heart attack when, through a gltch, I saw Oscar's personality. Nine outgoing points!!! I was definately in for more than I had bargained for. Just today the twins had their first birthday party, and I must admit, It was cool. My younger sisters and I sat around the PC and photographed every second of it. I just found out that Mel wants another baby. Well.... just wait a few days while I recover. Alison, 14
Dustin & Angela Pleasant are great parents. I'm wondering if the real life 'twins are more likely to have twins' dealio is true in the sims2 because those two produced 2 pairs of gorgeous bouncing baby twin sims (delilah & sam; maureen & nate - all with dustin's blonde hair and striking blue eyes). but anywho those two make glorious parents. the tuck the kiddies in without being told to.. though as infants they fed them wayyy too much, they always changed the diapers without being told. also the davis family. my favorite because of this: roger & mimi davis with their children collins angel mark and joanne. deeeeeeeee =]
My poor Zolf and Greed lost Heath, he commited suicide by jumping into a pool w/o a ladder... But their two girls sustain them, and recently their daughter Jade came up with a want to have another sibling... HELLO KATY! But they are still seriously great parents. Both of the original girls hit teenhood together, and we threw a double b-day party... we bombed when the headmaster came over tho... TWINS your first pregnancy? Whoa.
