A few of my skins...

I'm not sure how to do the attachment thing, but I'm trying to show a few of my skins, some were mentioned when we were talking about fat skins, I have the file names changed so I could use them as fit skins, but the actual skins are originally fat skins, so they PASS for fit... but are a bit... off... in the.. err.. chest.







I hope you can get the idea of how they look, I didn't have any screen shots so it's the skins themselves.... I hope that's ok.

 

Whoah!!! I thought it was going to do the link to the url thing, but I'm seeing actual pictures here!! Um... was I supposed to do that?? I hope so... I had some other skins to post too... one to ask advice on... hrmmm.....

 

The skin I need advice on...

This is the skin I'm having trouble with along the hipline/top of the pants on the sides, it pokes up instead of being a smooth low cut jean look which is what I was going for. I had fun making the top "fuzzy/fluffy" looking by playing with textures... and inverting the text so it would come out right... but I can't get the waist right!! If anyone has experience with the low cut jean look, please give me advice how to dip the waistline so it's smooth!!

 

And last, I wanted to submit this to the worldsims site... is it good enough and how?



It comes in all 3 skintones. I'm not sure if it's good enough to submit so I thought I'd ask... but I don't know HOW to submit it either so I'll ask that too. I have it as a downtown buyable for hot date, but can change that to have a non buyable version too.

 

Here I am posting SOMETHING again here so it will be noticed as a new post... I'm not sure I did things right because I see the pictures and when everyone else put stuff I saw links to click on and download attachment... I think.... So is how I did it OK??

so.. I need to put the 3 skin tones of the gown into a zip file, then do I need to upload that to my website or can I send that as an attachment in my pm to you? I'll go put them in a zip file after this. I'm all excited you want my stuff!! If I have other stuff to submit do I just make it into zip files and pm you to see if you want it?? I don't want to overload you with pms though!!

 

oh, and do I need screenshots of my stuff??

 

OK I have fun doing screenshots... if I ever get around to it!! That seems to be my main problem right now, I'm too scattered without my notebook to anchor me!! Oh where oh where has my notebook gone!!???

He Fae, these r really good! How did u get the shading so well?

 

For the shading, I used the airbrush setting done on a separate layer so if I messed up it wouldn't ruin all my work on pasting the fabric print together like I did. I set it to black and put the pressure and opacity REALLY light. I used to use the dodge and burn tool all the time for light and shadow, but I've learned it works better doing the light parts than the shadow, because it makes the colors darker and brighter, and when you want shadow or shade that doesn't work all the time.
I used the airbrush on black to do all the shadows and tried to make folds in the skirt, and I used airbrush on white to highlight the chest and arms and the curves of the folds in the skirt. I used the dodge tool on the shoes to do the shiny parts though.

 

oh, and the gown and casual outfit were based on maxis skins that already had the shading all there, I just tweaked it to make it work when I adjusted colors and added textures. I should have used a nude base for the casual though because what I actually did was re-do the skin putting the fleshtones for the bare tummy and back in myself as the jeans it was based on came all the way up to the waist above the belly button, so that's my attempt at abs and stuff from the waist down!!

 

Two gowns for Nina's Birthday

OK here are two gowns I made today, I had been meaning to do the rainbow/prism one for a while now, since I had the idea a couple of months ago. I'll be pm-ing (is that a word?) the zip urls to Josh so they can go on the worldsims site. They come in all skins tones. Let me know what you guys think of them!

 

There, I FINALLY did screenshots of the gowns ON sims... I'm not used to using any of those programs, I'm having some troubles with SimShow which is what I used to do these... any advice??!!! I had to change my computer's resolution from my usual 800X600 to the next size up, now my text is TINY but at least I can see the FEET in SimShow... there's got to be a better way to see your whole sim in SimShow!! Please someone teach me how to use this!! Or something like it...

 

Um, I don't see game screenshots in their clothing section, they have their sims posed though, is that what you mean? I see lots of game screenshots in the furniture section though.
