Adding Freetime patch after adding Mansions & Garden stuff?

I added the Freetime Expansion but did not add any patches. Didn't realize I should. Then I added the Mansions and Garden stuff, the most recent thing I've added, so now I access my Sims game through the Mansions & GArdens icon. If I want to add some freetime patches, how do I do that? If I add the patch(es) now, will it screw up the latest change I made? Or do I just download the Freetime patch and then still access my game through the Mansions icon?

swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

You should always install the latest expansion pack's patch that you have installed.
Make sure you install the Mansion and Garden patch too as it's more of an expansion pack than it is a stuff pack.
The rumor was it was going to be the last expansion pack but instead it became a stuff pack.

Okay I added the Free time patch and now all my Free time stuff is cobalt blue. I can't find the patch for Mansion and Gardens, it says there isn't one. What do I do now? My game is screwed up again I have no idea how to fix this. I JUST re-made some of my families I lost from Sims 2 SEasons after I moved some photos on my pc to a remote device. I lost everything and had to pull all my Sims2 stuff out and start over. I don't want to have to go through THAT again! Help, help!

I thought there was so maybe I was wrong.
    Sorry about that .
Usually blue objects is a sign of missing meshes (at least with custom content ) .
You might look through the sims 2 wiki page and see if there is anything relevant there.

I rebooted my computer and that seemed to fix it, surprisingly enough...
