Alien Abduction I am having an issue being abducted by aliens. I stargaze every night and have never been abducted. Could the town I live in prohibit me from being abducted? I even use both telescopes. HELP PLEASE!!
The chance of being abducted is quite low ... can't remember offhand what the odds are. One thing I learned is that it seems that if abduction is going to occur it'll tend to occur almost immediately. So a dozen 10 minute sessions of star-gazing is as good as star-gazing all night every night for 12 nights from the point of view of getting abducted. If you want to force an abduction there are plenty of hacks and mods that will do the trick. Use your favorite search engine to find what you need (sims 2 abduction hack). If you just want a quick abduction use the debugging cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true Hold down the shift key and click the sim you want abducted and look through the menu for the force alien abduction option (the sim has to be stargazing for the option to appear). When you've done disable the testing cheats by entering: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false
abductions On some website I went on once it said all the other sims have to be in bed, and it has to be with the Farstar telescope (the most expensive one). Although if you only want to see what happens with an abduction play on the Curious family in Strangetown.
that's not true about them having to be in bed...my sims get abducted with other sims awake all the time...well not all the time since it's so rare, but you know what I mean. It really is just chance, like Mirelly said.
