Another Favorite Sim is getting ready to go. . .

I don't get attatched to my Sims very often. In fact, if they are not a special favorite of mine, they usually don't make it to live a full life-span. But, here is one, Alexander, that I have raised from a baby. He's now set in Perma-plat and getting ready to run off with Grimmy and a couple of Hula-girls for a permanent vacation. Here's a picutre of him as a child, terrorizing his sister:

And recently, after spending a little too much time on a beach:

You know, he doesn't look like he changed all that much. :D

    RIP, Alexander.

LOL SB. Good to see you're enjoying your simmies, Kristal. I agree that sometimes the grouchy ones are the most endearing (I'd have to say that, anyway :p) ... we just want to be loved a little and we ask only to be allowed to tease a little now and then ... well, a lot.

That's a nice graphics card you have there. BTW

LOL, both those pictures made me chuckle. He seems like a grouchy old fella. :D

I have to say, I like my grouchy sims as well. I have a vampire sim, Rafael (some of you might know him from my Widbode story) and he's got serious anger management problems. The other day I was happily playing on another lot when Raffy came out of nowhere and started beating my sim up! Jeez, he didn't even know the guy... You just can't leave him alone with another sim. It won't end well.

I have sims like that too! Some of my townies really have it in for each other. In Porta de Luca Christy Stratton and this downtownie with blonde floppy hair (a guy) are always laying into each other. And Lola used to beat up vampires on sight, just walked onto a lot and started pounding on them. She wasn't even that grouchy.

I've got this kid in Veronaville right now who noogies everyone who comes onto the lot. Way to make friends and influence people, Jack.

Well, Alexander's still kicking. . . I guess I took care of him too well, because that little life-meter is just not going up the way it usually does. LOL

Mirelly--The graphics card is a NiVida GeForce 7900. :) Hubby bought me a new Simming computer last year. Ok, he bought it to play "Quake 4" and "Fear" but my simmies rule the roost. LOL

Alexander has a really weird skintone. I downloaded his mother (and the skintone) from MTS2. Barcelonista (msp?) created it. She had three kids, but the only child to inherit it was Alexander. It looks better on a male than a female, anyway. There's been a few other decendents that's had that tone, and sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that they are one of her relatives.

I have been trying to kill off Venus Botanica for days. She won't die. She has the flu, she's old, she's in the red, I won't let her eat or sleep, I even made her go swimming for hours at night in a rainstorm and she won't die.

    I know people like that.

LMAO! I do too, folks that are just too mean to die.

How's her mechanical skills? None too good? Got any appliances that need fixing? Or maybe make her go hottubbing in a thunderstorm. hehehe

Unfortunately, she has good mechanical skills. But I hadn't thought about overheating in the hot tub! Great idea! I've given up on lightning, drowning, exhaustion, starvation and just plain illness.

This probably sounds retarded but I actually almost cried because the sim that I raised from birth, Died. I got her married, she had 3 beautiful children and one was a teen when she died.

Nope, not retarded at all. We all become rather attached to our sims. I sometimes make my favorites into vampires because I can't bring myself to kill them off.

Right now I've got several elders in my favorite town, and I haven't played it in a while, partly because I'm not eager to let them go.

Your sim sounds rather young to die, though. Was it of old age or by accident? You do know about the green stuff, right? Or was she just too unhappy to use it?

Not at all! When the first sim I ever created for Sims 2 died, I felt so bad that I had his son use the special phone to have him ressurected!

she died from old age. then I resurected her and then her and her husband practactly had no relationship at all and I don't want to rebuild it so I play her oldest daughter instead. her grand children now are adults.

I burst into tears when the first sim I created died... I even get this weird feeling when I see her ghost walking around with a smile on her face...

Her great grandson is now married with 6 daughters and a child on the way. He and his wife are my favorite couple. They have 3 bolts and blue faces..:( I've taken a million pictures of their's and when the heir comes back from college (if she ever does) I'll download them a beautiful house and I'll move themin there with a motherlode of money and I'll type aging off in the cheatbox. Yep. I can't let them die...

I was forced to commit murder this week. (It's NOT my FAULT, Officer! She made me do it!!) As I mentioned above, I was trying to kill Venus Botanica through natural causes and she would not die. She. Would. Not. Die.

Maybe sims with lifetime platinum aspirations never die of illness? She had the flu and I refused to let her eat, sleep, go to the bathroom or bathe. I made her walk all night, stay outside, sit in the hot tub until she was boiling hot, swim in snowstorms until she was freezing and She. Would. Not. Die.

In fact, all her meters would go to the red and then turn around and creep back up again. Weird.

I finally put her in the swimming pool and removed the ladders and she drowned. Whew! BUT

    BUT

She died at the exact moment that the teenager became an adult, and there was no screen for 'too bad here's your inheritance' and the family didn't seem to notice. Now they have a memory of her dying but no one seems to care. (Including her beloved husband.)

She was a lot like my grandmother, actually.
