Until you mentioned it, I had not heard of it. I must say that the screenshots look pretty impressive, awesome. However, shooting type of games are not really my thing. It does look like a jaw-dropping game though - not really sure on how it compares to other similar titles as I don't play them, but the screenshots more than impressed me. Shame that I can't see myself playing it. *wanders back to her rosy perfect Sims 2 world*
It does look spectacular ... that sort of worries me. I have tinkered with Doom3 and that is not nearly as spectacular screnshot wise and Doom3 doesn't run so well on my PC that I imagine Crysis would perform any better. I can't actually play Doom3 ... it frightens the willies outa me. After ten minutes I had so much adrenaline coursing through my veins I feel like I just ODed on caffeine ... it has to be said that 90% of Doom's fright factor is in the sounds ... you're walking down a darkened corridor, barely able to see anything, ahead you can hear a gloopy, slithering noise. You stop to check your ammo and notice a body hanging over the edge of a railing. A scream is heard off to the left and from the direction of the body, ahead to the right, you hear a hoarse, deathly whisper: "help me ...". You take a step forward and body slips to the ground. It looks like it just came to life ... it didn't, but you're just swallowing back down the hot, hard lump that came unbidden to your throat, when a gleeful and wicked chuckle of deep-voice laughter sound just behind you. Time to change underpants ... Typed this while waiting for the Crysis demo-movie to load. Looks pretty awesome. Will be watching this one. I like scaly, scary monsters
