Anyone ever make a custom roof?

So now that I have a ruined mansion I really want a roof with a hole in it! Has anyone ever seen or figured out how to make a custom roof?

I could do a flat roof but that isn't very gothic.

I can live without it. I have some ideas for "spooking" up the place (other than adding real ghosts LOL) but a holey roof would be a tres cool addition.

I've not seen much in the way of ruined roofs.

There are several walls which are rather spookily ruined on TSR and MTS2. The ones on TSR are probably pay, but the ones at MTS2 are free.

It would be great if someone could make thatched roofs; they would perfect for traditional English cottages:D

There have been some "thatched" roofs done for TS2. I've seen them both on MTS2 and TSR. Of course, they don't have the curved edges of real thatched roofs (but then, they don't have the mice, mold and other vermin either!)

I wish that there were more roof colors. It seems that the people who do custom roof colors either like to make them really weird (swirled colors, fluorescent colors, odd patterns which I've never seen for any roof anywhere in the world) or they make them too much like the ones which are already there.

For instance, I would dearly love to have a white slate roof (or at least a very pale grey) for some of my houses. The one from Maxis is still pretty dark. But all I've found were ones slightly darker than Maxis or so close to the Maxis color that I couldn't tell the difference (and so deleted it out of my game.)

I would like them to have the variety of roof colors/styles that really exist. But I guess we all need to keep looking and hope that we can find what we like.
