Baby Snatcher Has anybody else had a complete stranger walk off with their baby. One of my sims had a baby and one of her family invited a friend round to visit. That friend asked to bring another friend with them and they called round at a very busy time when somehow Mum sim had put the baby on the floor while she went off to do something else. The friend of a friend ( who happened to be a Townie ) walked in, picked up the baby and walked straight out with her. I tried getting the family to speak to the Townie but they couldn't. Obviously I didn't save the game and mother and baby were united again.
It's a bug. You need to download the patch, available on the Sim's official website. That should stop that from happening again.
I suppose you're right ... but if it were real life you'd get to call the cops and have the snatcher arrested, right?

I hate Benny Hill. He thinks crudeness = funny. He's no Monty Python, or even Larry the Cable Guy. He's just not funny. Plus he's a sexist pig, which may color my view of him, oh, just SLIGHTLY ... Sorry. Had to say something. Kristal, I'm with you. That neighbor would be missing their kneecaps. Hey, baseball bats ... Sims should be able to form softball teams, or at least European football teams ... that would be fun and funny to watch, especially if they weren't any good ...
Benny Hill=the first time I realized that the Brits had dirty minds. I just thought it was us hillbillies gone bad. Any Sim who kidnaps a baby should be tied up and fed to the cowplant after a mass "polination" from every alien in the Starfleet! And that goes for the "Sims" that walk among us that are not computer bytes.
Didn't think of that one Didn't think about calling the police. Like a true mother I panicked and could only think about getting my Sims to tackle the snatcher and grab the baby back. If it happens again I'll try and keep calm and phone for the police. No I am not a fan of Benny Hill. Just had trouble thinking of a handle and came up with that one cos my Grandad used to call me Angel and I live on a hill. Not very exciting really.:confusion:
LMAO I find my excitement where I can ... I've been jigging up and down with pent-up antipation for a dog's age waiting for your answer. You'll be telling me next that you've never been an Ian Collins and the Creatures of the Night fan either ... oh my!! Now I'll be giggling stupidly to myself all weekend over the memory of Miff's amazing radio-stunt: trying to eat a dry teabag. Not sure calling the police will help, as it's a game bug, not intentional as far as I know. The sim police will probably scold you for calling them for no reason ... Me, I'm a Kids in the Hall fan, and I loved another show where these really disparate British people lived in the same house ... there was one named Neil who never changed his socks and another one named Rick who was a bit of a fascist ... does anyone know which show it is? I can't remember the name. But I remember it was funny!
