Body Shop Error Message Okay, I know I'm stupid, but I can't get Body Shop to open. It gives me an error message that says something to the effect of "There is a newer version of this program installed on this machine. The Installer will now close." So, what I think is happening is that the shortcut is trying to open the Body Shop I downloaded back in the summer and there is a new one included with TS2? So, I need to reset the shortcut, but I can't find the new Body Shop so I can open it and create a shortcut. Even when I go into program files and try to open it from there I get the error message.
You'll need to uninstall the old one for the new one to work well. (Don't worry, all the important files have already been moved to the regular TS2 download files.) Then you can go to Start, click on Programs, then EA Games, then The Sims 2 which takes you to a list which includes The Sims 2 Body Shop. That will allow you to launch the new version of Body Shop so that you can use it. You'll probably have to put a new short cut to your desktop. I tend to leave the desktop pretty bare, though and access them through the list which you get when you go to "Start". I get rid of the things already on the list that I don't use, which gives me room to put my favorites like TS2 and TS2 Body Shop, my graphics programs, and the like. The advantage of having them on the Start page is that they only require a single click to start, whereas the desktop requires a double. (That way I know I've got the clicks right, even though since you have to click the Start open, you're not really decreasing clicks.) I hope that helps. PS. You're not stupid. Please do not put yourself down that way. This is a problem which was *very* common when the game first came out and even the "geniuses" had to ask what you're asking.
