Body Shop? i just turned on body shop, and i'm really disappointed. all of the options are the same as when you create a sim in the regular sims! i thought you could do a lot more like highlights and more makeup options! i saw screenshots online of body shop and they showed a freaky woman with rainbow colored hair! how do you do that?
The real strength of Body Shop is that you can use it to make custom content. There are several tutorials which explain how to do that, but if you aren't interested in custom content, then the only advantage is being able to make a Sim which can be used multiple times (which the CAS created Sims really can't.) The custom content for makeup is probably the easiest of all the custom contents to make. All you need to do is recolor. You don't have to change the alphas or do any fancy coloring (although if you're good, you can do more things.) Here are some tutorials on how to do custom content: http://thesims2.ea.com/help/ (has a list with several of the tutorials) http://members.fortunecity.com/lpx/tutorials/hair.html http://www.geocities.com/thisday2005/tutorial.html http://home.planet.nl/~Dobbe065/Tutorials/Denim1.html http://members.fortunecity.com/lpx/tutorials/bumpmap.html http://www.jedifiction.com/simsstuff/tutorials2.html
oh, so you have to use a different program to create the part then upload it to the bodyshop to use it. that sucks. i think it'd just be easier for me to download something from other people...
yes, that's true. but sometimes the only way to get exactly what you want, is to make it yourself. I'm getting excited for the custom wallpaper thingy that's suppose to come out in january I think. I'm not satisfied at all with what's available right now.:disappointed:
